Resident Evil 2 (1998) Official Resident Evil 2 Tribute/REmake Thread

Hey Jeff, nice to hear from you. It appears as though, I've lost contact with some members. Work & School have impeded their progress to the point of stopping. I'll continue the project on my own; however, the progression shall be severely slowed. Sorry Bro :/

PC is the easiest to code for, whereas the PS3 is the most difficult. While I love the PS3, it may never see a release on it unless we get a nice set of programmers. Until that occurs, a PS3 release is far more ambitious than six months.

Resident Evil 2 (1998) Official Resident Evil 2 Tribute/REmake Thread

As of right now; not much work is currently being done. Due to the holiday season and all, it's a bit hard to accomplish much at all. As we progress through the months, work flow shall increase, and we'll become much more fuel-efficient. I give this game maybe six months? It seems long, but I...

Resident Evil 2 (1998) Official Resident Evil 2 Tribute/REmake Thread

Edited the team, working our way through as I type this. It's a bit slow. Douglas isn't god's gift to code, so we're stilling looking for a proper programmer. Unreal Kismet should be sufficient enough for the fixed camera angles. We're working on a tech demo now. When completed, we shall post it...

I've made a new thread to denote my progress with the RE2 Tribute/REmake. Check it out!

Resident Evil 2 (1998) Opinions on a Resident Evil 2 REmake

I'm glad have support. Anyways, I'll probably make slight differences. Although, I won't delve away from the story/characters too much. They'll probably be cosmetic changes. Like a cop with a cap and brown hair, and similar background as Leon with a number of differences. A slim woman with...

Resident Evil 2 (1998) Opinions on a Resident Evil 2 REmake

Thank-you, I appreciate the support. It'll be static camera angles, and I'll do my absolute best to make it possible. I was actually thinking about bringing some areas from RE-1.5 back as well. I've seen some of the rooms, and they seemed to have gotten some very interesting concepts. Most of...

Resident Evil 2 (1998) Opinions on a Resident Evil 2 REmake

I cannot agree with you. The static camera angles, and odd controls added to, not only the challenge, but the freakish atmosphere. It only reinforced the feeling of sheer terror from our experience. Making an "over-the-shoulder camera" would ruin the overall atmosphere. Although having it as a...

Resident Evil 2 (1998) Opinions on a Resident Evil 2 REmake

They did re-release Resident Evil 1, that was REmake (or REbirth as some people refer to it as). I'm not as ecstatic about Resident Evil 3. I didn't enjoy it as much as I did RE2. Possibly because it was far to expansive. It wasn't as linear as RE2, and because of it I got pretty confused at a...

Resident Evil 2 (1998) Opinions on a Resident Evil 2 REmake

Ah, January 21st 1998... The video game "Resident Evil 2" was released for the PlayStation. At the time, it had cutting-edge graphics, a great storyline, wonderful voice-acting (as opposed to its predecessor), and had a re-playability unmatched by most. I remember playing this game younger, and...
