I can tell you it's likely not worth $1000. Don't get me wrong, I'm a sucker for movie memorabilia, but even if it was worn by the main actor, full costumes might go for 7 or 800 depending on who it is and what movie it's from. There's a site that sells costumes... I think it's called Premier Props or something like that. I would look at their prices and go from there.
