Resident Evil 7 Rumour: Resident Evil 7 Storyline leaked

Resident Evil 7 has been in development since the mid-way point of Resident Evil 6, and was supposed to come out this year, as Capcom had plans to annualize the franchise. However, due to such negative feedback on the 6th instalment, the company has made the decision to change several aspects.

Little is known about Resident Evil 7, but here is what I have learned from my sources.

> Resident Evil 7 will involve Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine.

> Barry Burton WILL make an appearance in the game.

> Albert Wesker WILL be in the game, however, he is ONLY in a flashback in Jill’s head.

> The setting is going somewhat back to its roots. Survival, and not so much action.

> The story involves all steps retraced back to the start.

> Part of the game takes place on the grounds of the Mansion in Raccoon City.

> The game is still Co-Op based, both online and locally. Up to 4 players can play the same game at once.

> The game will NOT be available for PS3 and Xbox 360. It will be released for PS4, Wii U, Xbox One and PC.

> The Wii U gamepad serves as the inventory, allowing for quick access.

> The start of the game will be delivered differently than most games.

> Although the game is primarily Co-Op, you do NOT start with your partner in the same area. You will be literally playing up to four separate games for the first 30 minutes.

> Claire and Chris are Partners. Leon and Jill will be partners.

> All 4 players will meet together near the beginning, but then split into two groups (noted above), only regrouping a few times.

I'm waiting for it. Are you?
Is this the final chapter?
 
Why do so many new members tend to have an inside scoop on this game... yet their stories never match? I guess I have to give them points for consistency. They can never provide a source, nothing sounds believable, and they all wasted their time typing a wall of text.

Nothing has been confirmed so everything we hear right now are rumors. All we know is that there will be another Resi game.
 
What about Jake Muller? Will he return? Perhaps maybe... Alice too?
 
Official sources are required for me to even me to consider this as plausible scenario for the game.

Heck, resident evil "1.5" and "3.5" should be enough inclination for us to wait until Capcom releases official news regarding the game. Nothing is official until they say it is, meaning they can still give the game an overhaul if they deem it necessary (as they've done so before).

Until we are directly informed from Capcom, I take rumors/speculation with a grain of salt.

Although, playing into the idea if this was what the game is going to be based around, I really like the concept that the players start off initially playing a solo story, where advancing through the story leads to the characters grouping up. I know its been done before where characters eventually meet-up and team up, with examples being the intro to Zero, Resident Evil 2 Claire/Sherry and some of outbreaks scenarios (instead of all 4 players spawning together, for instance in the raccoon police department, you all spawn in different locations throughout the police station and are required to find each other). It hasn't been done to this extent though. I am interested to see how this concept would play out.

Don't take this seriously. I just found about it and posted it, it's not mine (but i was allowed to post it from the person who has been informed) I wanted to hear from you guys, do you like if it will be like this?
 
If these rumours turn out to be true, I think it would make a pretty good game (even if it's only because Claire would be in it :tongue:) hopefully better than RE6.

I hope it will be as they say. How many characters can i use for single player?
 
All 4 main characters (Chris, Claire, Leon, Jill) + Barry + mention of Wesker + "back to the roots" + Spencer Mansion + available on all current platforms = fans' wishful thinking.

I've seen this before, and I don't believe a word of it. Sounds like a recipe for the "perfect" Resident Evil, even though they forgot to add Hunk and Valenfield.

It's just a rumor, Maybe it's true or maybe it is not. You can't know that, I can't know that. We'll see when it comes out or at least official trailer

I know it's not real. These "facts" hold no water until there's an actual source to accompany them. Otherwise, it's just BS. This is just one of the many fanfictions out there about this game with no solid evidence backing it.

This just in, Resident Evil 7 will see the return of Billy Coen and Rebecca Chambers. Claire will have a part in it while Wesker returns as the main villain. Believe me, please.

This is complete lies.... Just by seeing it says coming to WII U everyone knows capcom is not going to waste a low port this gen on the wii u... PS4 , XBOX ONE, MAYBE PC
 
It's not really about having ties to anyone. Capcom is a whore of a company. They'll side with whoever is the top bidder. They've made deals with Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, because they've offered the money. If Capcom fully utilizes the capabilities of the PS4 and Xbox One for Resident Evil 7, like they've always have, then it's very doubtful we'll see a Wii U port, as it'll have to be significantly downgraded.

I don't know man...I mean, I'll admit to being Nintendo biased, however, the WiiU has actually sold more than the XBox One, but not quite as much as the PS4...Also, that said, with exclusives like Smash Bros and Zelda, you can bet people will buy a WiiU for THOSE games alone. Capcom's always loved porting games, and even toyed with the idea of porting RE5 to the Wii. Sure the graphics aren't quite up to par. They're closer to PS3 style graphics, but I doubt Capcom will care about that if they're mainly looking at sales.

The Wii U has been out for a while now and is still doing poorly. The Xbox One is outperforming the Wii U. They've already sold 5 million in less time. As of December, the Wii U hasn't even reached 5 million. I also don't get where you're getting the idea that they've considered porting Resident Evil 5 to the Wii when they have denied the rumors, and even downright said that the Wii or PS2 couldn't handle the title screen. Resident Evil games, love or hate em have always been top notch. There's no way they're wasting resources on a lesser version for a struggling console, unless the game isn't taking advantage of the current systems and all look and perform the same all across the board. Though, I don't see that happening.
