When Chris punched Wesker's glasses off, his eyes were like a cat's eyes..when I played it as a kid, it kinda freaked me out...was it because of that virus he injected himself with??

It seems to be one of the side effects of the prototype virus. He has the same eyes in RE. However, he has blue eyes in TDC, it was a big mistake by Capcom.

Yes, apart from the Darkside Chronicles, in films and games- Wesker's eyes have always been reptile-like as a side effect of bonding with the T Virus.
