The morning sun touched lightly on the eyes of Lucy Jordan
in a white suburban bedroom in a white suburban town.
As she lay there 'neath the covers dreaming of a thousand lovers
till the world turned to orange and the room went spinning round.

At the age of thirty-seven she realised she'd never
ride through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in her hair.
So she let the phone keep ringing and she sat there softly singing
little nursery rhymes she'd memorised in her daddy's easy chair.

Her husband, he's off to work and the kids are off to school,
and there are, oh, so many ways for her to spend the day.
She could clean the house for hours or rearrange the flowers,
or run naked through the shady street screaming all the way.

At the age of thirty-seven she realised she'd never
ride through Paris in a sports car with the warm wind in her hair.
So she let the phone keep ringing as she sat there softly singing
pretty nursery rhymes she'd memorised in her daddy's easy chair.

The evening sun touched gently on the eyes of Lucy Jordan,
on the roof top where she climbed when all the laughter grew too loud.
And she bowed and curtsied to the man who reached and offered her his hand,
and he led her down to the long white car that waited past the crowd.

At the age of thirty-seven she knew she'd found forever
as she rode along through Paris with the warm wind in her hair ...

The Marianne Faithfull version at Youtube.

It makes me sad, especially the last four lines after I learned their meaning.:sad: Still I can't get enough of it.

(I really hate posting clean versions)

This is my absolute favorite song from Lily's Sheezus album. As much as I am going to kick myself for this, it is my 2nd favorite Lily Allen song, making it the 3rd song to be my 2nd favorite Lily Allen song. Lily, why you got to make so many songs that I love?!

So this is a bit random but I've been playing a lot of The Last of Us lately and while listening to one of my all time favorite musicians, Justin Vernon (from Bon Iver and Volcano Choir), I started to think that this is very similar to what Joel would sound like had we actually got to hear him sing. Not to mention this song pretty much fits perfectly for his character as well as with some of the music featured in the game.

I see a lot of people have a good taste of music =D I'll refrain from being a jackass to those who I think don't XD
Ugh I have SOOO much music so I may post some stuff no one has ever heard before ;) I play almost all my music at random! XD

For now it's:
Nobody Praying For Me - Seether

To me song really describes Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid in pretty much everyway imho. If you're a huge Metal Gear fan like myself. I'd recommend this song, if not then at least enjoy a good song! ^.^

I am more than 100% sure that I have already posted this video somewhere in this thread but I'm doing it again because it's what I'm currently listening to and I absolutely love Rammstein's version of "Stripped".

"Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it?"
I am now determined to addict everybody in this entire thread to Graham Bonnet's voice.

This man's voice could drive a hurricane back to the ocean.
