What are you into?

Mr.Burton

REN's #1 Barry fan
I'm just curious ppl, name what hobbies or interests you have and why. Don't be shy. I'm really into knife collecting, I carry one EDC (EveryDayCarry) all the time 24/7.. but not when I'm sleeping or showering, lol. I carry one mainly for work and little tasks like opening packages and doing small utility work, it makes life soo much easier. I recomend that everyone carry atleast a small pocket knife on them at all times.. I couldnt live without a knife. I'm into Juggling, I got into it at the start of the year. I just always wanted to juggle. I'm picking up on it really fast judging by that in Janurary I couldnt even juggle 2 balls correctly to juggling 5 balls and starting on 3 club juggling right now. I can do all basic and most advanced 3 ball tricks (youtube itaught me lol) aswell with a little bit of 4 ball stuff thrown in. I'm a huge fan of pro wrestling, I watch WWE all the time. I been into it really since I was little but got huge on it in middle school because of my friend at the time got me hooked on the wrestler Sting... which was about 15 years ago. I got close to 150 WWE and TNA dvds. My fav wrestler currently is CM Punk. I'm a huge fan of music (who isnt) anything from Metal to Punk to Electro to Dubstep... I listen to ALOT ALOT ALOT of stuff. My fav band of all time though is KoRn.. I even got a tattoo of the logo on my arm I got years ago. Currently I've been listening to alot of VNV Nation, amazing Electro group (check em out). Other groups of the top my head are Type O Negative, Megadeth, Apoptygma Berzerk, Anders Manga, Reflexion... I could go on.. but I won't. Thats a few main things I'm really into. I'm looking forward to reading what you ppl are into.

You can't kill me.
I'm really into zombies. No really. I've seen every Romero movie (the originals were best), amongst others (I quite enjoyed 28 Days Later for introducing scary, running zombies. That movie literally had me scared the first time I watched it.) Watched Zombieland but had to warm up to it. Basically if its a zombie movie I make it my mission to see it. I also love zombie shooting games, from Dead Nation to Zombie mode in Black Ops. I want to live to see a zombie outbreak lol.

I'm into body language. I did extensive research on it a few years ago and usually don't need more than a few seconds to tell you exactly what someone is thinking when I see them. It has done wonders for me.

You already know about my drawings.... I like to write. Ive been writing fiction for at least 6 years, usually of the horror/thriller variety. I've written a collection of short stories, a couple of screenplays, and two novels. One of which was of a zombie outbreak lol.

I love film AND filmmaking and am hoping to go to school next year to get a theatre degree. Later I want to get a film degree with a focus on Acting, Directing, Editing, and/or Screenwriting. Sometimes I enjoy the special features on a DVD far more than the actually film, and I tend to be very analytical when I view one. I've written various movie reviews online but I've since deleted them.

I love dogs. In my entire life (Im 22), I've only ever gone 2 years without at least one dog in the various households I grew up in. I currently claim my brother's German Shepard/Rat Terrier mix as my own. She spends more time with me than anyone else and sleeps at the foot of my bed at night. I'm more comfortable around animals than people.

Let's talk music. I'm way into Rammstein. They've been my favorite band since roughly 2002 when I bought their 3rd album out of curiosity. Been hooked ever since.

I love any Industrial music, especially German Industrial bands. I also like Trip Hop, Classical, Rock (of all kinds), Electro, and Dance. I will not listen to Country, Christian or Rap/R&B (except for Eminem's older stuff)

I have perhaps an unhealthy obsession with Pink Floyd The Wall. It's my favorite film of all time and the album is in my top 3, easily. I have a hoody from the Roger Waters The Wall Live concert tour that I wear almost daily, and have the entire film/album committed to memory. It's been almost a year since I actually watched the film and its killing me :(. I want to get the new Immersion Edition of The Wall, but unless the scarf they offer in the package is made of Roger Waters' hair, I can't bring myself to pay $150 dollars that I don't have for it (just kidding, but not really lol)

I love video games. Anything where its one person trying to survive against nearly impossible odds (favorites include The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Resident Evils, Silent Hills, Doom 3, Duke Nuke'em, Twisted Metal and last but certainly not least, Prototype).

Things I'm starting to get into are cosplay (getting ready to get a bunch of stuff for my Rain cosplay, based on a mix of her original costume design and the final product in the film) and airsoft. Looking into the weapons for my cosplay has really gotten me interested. I know how to shoot real guns but haven't been able to for about 3 years. I would love to have something to sharpen my marksmanship a bit.

:eek::eek:!

I also really love writing. :D Its my passion and I don't know what I'd do without it. I remember there was this stretch of time where I felt really anxious, having panic attacks all day every day, I felt really depressed and cried myself a lot, and felt very sick all the time. I had this deep loneliness in my soul (that sounds really dumb) and I didn't know what to do. So I picked up a pen and started writing and I felt better. Now granted I didn't feel all better because the reason I was so lonely/depressed/what have you was not only because I wasn't writing, but that was making it worse. In fact, every time I go to long without writing I get very anxious and depressed feeling. So I keep writing.

Another something I am in loooove with is comedy! :D Stephen Colbert is amazing! Tina Fey, Jim Gaffigan, Chelsea Handler, South Park, Mel Brooks, etc. I wanna be a comedy writer actually. I know I can do it! Comedy makes everything better. It can help you when you're sad or anger. Its just amazing medicine. And its free to! ;)

Hm...I also love music. The Who, Eric Clapton, Steve Miller, The Beatles, Christina Perri, Green Day, The Kinks, The Black Keys, The Mars Volta, and many more are just so great. :D I play guitar to and I like just being able to play along with songs I like. I write some songs to. :) They are ok I guess.

I like art to. Working with India ink is my favorite. I like to use it on T-shirts. I have some good designs. :D Pastel is fun to (but not as good as ink ;)).

BOOKS! I love reading. You can't be a writer and not read. ^^ My favorites are Rebecca, Catcher in the Rye, We the Living, A Tale of Two Cities, Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice and Men, The Fountainhead, and a lot more. :D
I'm also currently reading The Feminine Mystique and its freaking brilliant.

Well I guess that's it for now. XD

Hmmm.. so what am I into?
First of all jogging/running is almost like a passion to me :'D I do it twice in a day, early in the morning and in the evening. It's very relaxing! You can just forget everything and just run. I am also into literature. My favourite author is Aino Kallas and my favourite book from her is "Sudenmorsian" [In english = "Wolf's Bride"]
Hmm... what else? Well I love sunbathing in the summer and I do it a lot :)

I love people and I love to socialize. I complain about my job alot (as a hotel front desk agent), but I really do love it - it's great to meet new people every day from all around the world and give them a great customer service experience, and spending my Fridays and Saturday's alone and without alcohol drives me crazy. I like to party.

I also like to know things, and I especially take an interest in military/political history. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent reading about the Holocaust, the Cold War, and 9/11 on my own time. I like to advocate for gay and animal rights. I think 'the Young Turks' is the most brilliant and entertaining news program on the planet. In fact, I think Cenk Uygur is pretty handsome.

I like kinky sex and I tend to worship gay icons. Lady Gaga and Cher are my favourite, Kathy Griffin is my idol and I'd do anything to get David Bowie in my pants. In fact, he's one of the very few white men I'd like in my pants. I tend to be a tad more attracted to tall dark and handsome Arabic men, especially as of late. My favourite movies are Inglourious Basterds, Amadeus, Pulp Fiction, Schindler's List, the Hamburg Cell and Labyrinth. My favourite books are Wuthering Heights and Phantom of the Opera, and I hate chick-flicks and cheesy romance novels. Bella and Edward are NOT the greatest fictional couple ever. IMO, it's Jane Eyre and Mr. Rochester.

I'm into a very small set of games. I'll buy pretty much everything with a 'Resident Evil' title slapped onto it and the Dino Crisis series was always my favourite. I think Regina is/was the hottest video game babe ever. Monopoly was my favourite game growing up and even know I play wayyyyy too much online Monopoly than what is probably healthy.

Oh ya, and I'm obsessed with Bath and Body Works. My apartment always smells of Mint Chocolate. And I collect porcelain dolls.

Thanks, I'll look into them :). Poetry doesn't compute for me lol, never has. Fiction just flows for me. It might as well be writing itself. :)

One thing that I'm interested in is playing video games. I even tried to make a game once, but the program I was using was a little bit to tough to figure out. Pretty much everyday I play at least 1 video game each day unless it's a school day then I may not. I'm also going try to get a job as working as a Graphical Animator for video games.

Another thing I have an interest in is anime. I love anime for they're style and that some anime shows actually have a storyline.

Next thing I have interest in is watching movies. I like to watch movies when ever I get the chance and if it's a really old movie like a movie that came out between 1920's-1960's then it's highly guarrented that I'll watch them. My favorite genres are Western, Sci-Fi, and Film Noir. I love Western because I'm always wandering what was it like back then and plus I like the old west. As for Sci-Fi, I like to watch those movies just to see what some people's vision of the future would be and to see on what would probably go on. Film Noir is something that I will always love because I love to watch something that is all about solving a crime. My least favorite genres are comedy, horror, sports, and sometimes action. I usually don't like comedy movies because almost every single comedy I watch isn't that funny and has to rely on comedy that only kids will laugh at. Horror is something I really don't like because a lot of them, espically recent ones, because they mostly use the excuse that it's a movie because it has blood, gore, and action when really it's cruddy and not enjoyable. I don't like sport movies because I get bored of watching them, I'm not saying that all sport movies are bad, but rather I have no interest in them. As for action, it's the same as horror except with the excuse that it has a lot of action when really it's a cruddy movie. Some of my favorite movies so far are all Ghost in the Shell movies, True Grit (Both original and remake), Contagion, Casablanca, Saving Private Ryan, all the Matrix movies (Even though the 3rd was not that good, I still like because I'm a fan of the movies), Casino Royale, and From Russia With Love. Some of the movies that I hate the most are Milk Money, Alone in the Dark, North, Vacancy 2, Jason Goes to Hell, Birdemic: Shock and Terror (Yeah I know that it's a low budget film, but even if it's a low budget film that still dosen't give it a pass from me. There're are many things that you can do with a low budget film to make it good, the person who made this film choose the wrong route and we got a movie about people surviving attacks from animated gif birds.), Ulli Lommel's Black Dahlia, and the movie that I hate the most is A Serbian Film (I can't stand this movie and I can't see how some people like or love this movie. You got a dumb character, with a dumb story, that at the end you're going to hate yourself and try to committ suicide after watching it. Nobody wants to see a movie with people who want to make videos of men ****ing new born babies, their own children, and dead bodies. If you like this film, loved it, enjoyed it, or thought it was good then you pretty much lost all respect from me and you deserve a very painful death.)

Lastly and my biggest interest is Mary Elizabeth McGlynn. I simply love her to death. Surperb tallent, beautiful voice, beautiful looks, and a great singer. She will always the person that I have the biggest intereset on. I hope to one day meet her and actually get to talk to her.

VP-70

The Confucius of ReNews...Cheers KK.
I was something of a lost cause for a while, very much into politics and all that comes with modern living.

But as i've grown i've felt that upon learning new things from the toughest period in my life, i feel myself spending more and more time in the roaming fields of heather and endless woodlands.

I came to realize there was nothing for me in the big cities but broken concrete and ****tered dream, so i opted for the horizon. I'd much rather listen to the sound of the wind lashing through the Scottish highlands, than listen to some tool on the tv.

To pass time and to keep myself happy,i have a deep interest psychology, art, history and tomorrow, i also have an interest in renassiance which explains my love of Rapier and Art...I like nothing better than to spend some time doing some archery, that is def my me time, it lets me focus my mind, which is forever fleeting!

Like Femme, i too read up on the death camps and what not, as i'm never easy with how man treats himself and others...such things are hard to take in, and understand let alone, accept. What truly messes with my mind, is not the treatment of human beings but how we can build a death camp one day, then a hospital the next....proclaim to love all and accept them in all their ways, yet sleep with a gun under your pillow. Stand over an insect and feel like a god, yet come to think how vast the universe is and the tables soon turn.

I'm a lover of mystery and adventure.....to think back to the time when i offered my now partner in crime a hand in friendship which then went onto an international adventure as we traveled the globe in search for fun, always makes me smile and reminds me of what it is, to be me and what i stand for.

My history teacher ( the one who installed my interest in the templars and secret societies ) simply described me as a '' drifter '' and he's not far wrong.

Not that it has to be said, but incase some haven't figured out by now, i'm a huge animal lover, i view humans as not the latest step in evolution, but the guardians of nature and all it's creatures....sure they lack intellect, but upon witnessing how we've used ours, i wonder who is better off...

every howling wolf, soaring eagle, rampant lion or wandering elephant all have eyes that tell a very very ancient story, just a pity we can't make heads or tails of it.

Me as a person....
dry, sarcastic, cynical, thoughtful, extreamly generous to a fault to those i love and would die for. For my friends and family are a big part of my life, i do not seek their approval, or praise, but i seek their love and wisdom...i've something of a dark past.....one in which i do not recognize myself...but these days and for quite some time... i've come to know what it is to be alive, and to live life. my heart bleeds for humanity.

Me as a lover....I'm very old fashioned... not in a man earns, woman raises kids, old fashioned... but stoic, and towering with strength....my partner ( not that i have one at the moment ) often finds themselves being the jewel in my crown....they are almost devine in my view.. treated with utter respect, looked after and looked out for, like she's the queen of queens..sensual is how i'am,very effectionate, not clingy, as that's , well....weird. Her needs are filled if possible and she must always feel nothing but alive when around me...i always stride to make sure the relationship is fresh.

I've no boundries on prefereince, although i've noticed Italian ladies seem to know the quickest way to my heart.

In this day and age, you could say i appear protective, but i simply see it as being the type of guy who declares i'd fight and die for my love, then see's it through... pillow talk, simply doesn't cut it, not in a world this dark. Some may see it as a display of macho bull****, and i can see their point, but i always try and keep the tiger in the long grass.

my taste in music goes from Blur to Guns n' Roses...Pink floyd to Iron Maiden...Amy MacDonald to Manson.

These days ?

i continue to walk through life with a rapier in one hand and a glass of wine in the other...i'm enjoying being single, young, free and full of health...as ever, i keep about the same level of public exposure as a Scottish Wildcat, but it doesn't mean i don't like socializing... i'm just a good and quick reader of people...

Hope that clears the air a little.
