Resident Evil 5 resident evil 5 = best game in the series?

in my humble opinion, i think it wil be.

but the thing that gets me is that this game is a really BIG departure from the classic elements that defined the series (mystery, survival, horror). RE5 is more action than anything else; and it certainly isn't SCARY at all.

It could still be scary. The scariest parts of Resi 4 were the parts that you didnt expect such as oven man jumping out and the feeling you get running from a guy with a chainsaw. Resi 5 could still have these elements in it Resi 5 does look alot more action based though

the oven man wasn't scary after the first time lol the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth times i went throug RE4 i was really expecting him
