How did the Zombies reach the surface?

Memory may fail me but i thought it was;

The Hive blast door closed as alice and matt (if that's his name)as they left due to the time lock. (So they are in the mansion now)

Umbrella scientists crash the ending by taking matt away and holding alice,

One talks about re-opening the Hive.

---------------
Apocolypse,

Scientists open the Hive Blast door and the zombies (which move about a mile a year) manage to jump them. (Im guessing a licker was involved)

The new infectees and infectors scurry out of the mansion into the arklay mountains.

As for the licker in the scientists visor. If that was at the end of the first film, the licker would have killed them all, this couldn't of happened as the scientists (most lilkly the same) re-opened the Hive.

Now to the whole point of the Train.
The Hive itself was linked to the Mansion through the train system. The zombies are free to go down those lines by walking. The only thing stopping them to the surface was the blast door which was re-opened by the scientists.

If the above is wrong just say, im not 100%.

Wrong.

The blast doors that were opened in Apocalypse were opened BENEATH Racoon City, that was pretty clear.
did you even watch the movie?:blink:

First off i said i wasnt 100%,
Secondly the blast door that leads the Mansion to the Train. that blast door i am on about.

As for the BENEATH THE CITY, yes i know they opened those ones, as it says Hive Entrace - beneath raccon city. When that was opened they have free access to the mansion facility or other entrances from that area (they just have to go through the route the scientists used.)
