lol sorry went off topic lol but as i was saying i cant beat merc i have tryed and tryed plus my gamecube isnt at my house and i hate that i need 70000 points just to get 5 stars and im left with one level for ada which has the dr salavador (savior) and than i have to be hunk and beat all the four levels with 5 stars than RE4 told me that i could get the handcannon a different way that doesnt involve me beating merc lol

No, you need to beat Mercanaries no matter what. You can PURCHASE the handcannon for free if you already unlocked it via Mercanaries.
