So, I got my hands on a pristine copy of RE2 Dual Shock ver., and it's displaying the exact same graphical anomaly. Have to assume, at this point, that the PS1 version of the game was simply never meant to be seen in anything but composite video, as sacrifices in quality had to be made to allow...

Man, I've been waiting for that RE2 remake since, like, 2002! I think I'd be way more into revisiting that material than a "Resident Evil 7" at this point. Either way, I think it'd shift more units, as RE6 turned off a whole lot of casual fans.

No clue! I guess it's possible that my copy came from a bad batch of discs back in the day, but I can't find any info about it. Maybe I'll nab a copy of the "Dual Shock" version and do a comparison.
