    Haha, yeah. Maybe I was traumatized by watching some of my imported anime LDs go bad in the '90s, and the term just kind of stuck with me. (Can't all optical media "rot", though?)

    Resident Evil 2 (1998) Remake Very Possible

    Man, I've been waiting for that RE2 remake since, like, 2002! I think I'd be way more into revisiting that material than a "Resident Evil 7" at this point. Either way, I think it'd shift more units, as RE6 turned off a whole lot of casual fans.

    No clue! I guess it's possible that my copy came from a bad batch of discs back in the day, but I can't find any info about it. Maybe I'll nab a copy of the "Dual Shock" version and do a comparison.
