I've having some tests done soon that may tell me if I have lupus. It's a long story and at the moment, all I can say is that all of my doctors and specialists believe it to be lupus.

The happiness is a result of the possibility of it explaining the illnesses that I have endured over the years.

Just got to get the tests done and see what the diagnoses is. Been an emotional roller-coaster 2 years.

OMG Chris, that is dreadful. :eek: I've never heard about lupus before but from Wikipedia I get some impression of what it is. Funny that lupus means wolf in Latin. But a funny name is of little comfort.

I laughed at the name as well! Despite how horrible it sounds/feels (the dominant theory is indeed lupus), there are always people going through something worse.

We can't mope around with something, as we're judged on our reactions to these things, not what we have wrong.

While I truly hate that you're going through all of this, Chris, I have to say I'm glad that there's a chance you might find out for sure what's going on. I can only imagine how not knowing feels.

It's nice to know that you're still around, though and that you're doing well for lack of a better term.

I admire your positive attitude, and positive thinking is the best way to overcome illness and problems in general. Having a serious illness and not knowing what it is is far worse and makes treatment difficult, so I understand it can be a relief getting the answer even if it's bad news.

I remember you had to quit rugby (or was it football?), but can you live a normal life except sports?

Hi everybody, it's me again. I fell under the Radar due to me getting a new Job (Which I hate now and am about ready to leave) and my (now ex) Girlfriend miscarrying. It was only today that I remembered about these Forums.
