Who here is a MGS fan?

Yellow peeps, I've seen threads like these for Devil May Cry, some books i don't remember, and i think something that was scary (That was not silient hil or Re)

But never one with one of the best franchises in gaming history: Metal Gear Solid

Sooo yeah just thought of this if any of you are fans just drop by and say which

I'm a fan of pretty much all the games, including the universally hated AC!D. Can't wait for Ground Zeroes or Revengeance.

Yea I really liked MGS 1 & 3, the others were okay. The 1st game had some epic characters, like Gray Fox & Psycho Mantis. Seems like in the other games they brought in similar characters to take their place. But Raiden will never replace Gray Fox xD

Raiden will never replace Gray Fox but then again, I don't expect him to. They're different characters, too different and, well, how do you replace the best cyborg ninja ever?

I agree with you about the reuse of characters but I also think that Kojima is the only game maker who has actually followed up on his series with like installments and hasn't let down his fans. His fans still enjoy the series and anxiously await new games instead of dreading them like Resident Evil and, now, Devil May Cry. The man knows his game and he does an excellent job at keeping the series going.

When i first saw Revengeance i was pretty skeptical then i play the Demo it is SO addicting

I also want GZ i hope it fetures MGO5 I only played MGO4 which wasn't that great...But as for the games i loved them all

You can make a movie and a book out of one game...combine them all...

I am a fan. I played almost all of them except the PS1 game, but I'm hoping to play that soon, and I enjoyed each and every single one.

I became a huge fan of Metal Gear after I played MGS4 The reason why is the story gave me a huge mindf**k and I needed questions answered so I played the previous games and got more into the story I found out about Rising shortly before I played MGS4(Rising is what made me play 4) and I'm looking to that game so much that I pre-ordered the collectors edition that comes with the expensive Raiden figure.
Metal Gear Solid is a great franchise that has stuck to it's ways and Rising is a perfect example of the originality that used to come out of Japan

I agree with that. I guess one of the reasons why Metal Gear is still so loved by the fans is the original creator Kojima is still involved with all the games and basically controls everything behind the games, while the creators of Resident Evil and Devil May Cry have all left and the IPs are at the mercy of Capcom's money hungry hands.

Played the Rising demo the other day and I must say I'm very excited for this! It looks amazing.

MGS is a perfect example of a perfect series done and done

The Cutscene's are great, Gameplay, and Story as well

Fun Fact: Did you guys know you could recurit Hideo Kojima in Peace Walker?

LOL I haven't played much of Peace Walker yet and to be honest I'm not really that eager too because I don't really like Peace Walker, I played maybe an hour of it in the HD collection and I don't like that it's missing some gameplay elements and I don't like the drawn cutscenes 1 bit I still wanna get through it though because the upcoming Ground Zeros looks incredible.

I did. I was kinda suprised that when I was playing the game that you can recruit him. It sucks that I lost all my progress to the game (FUDGE!) and I have to find him again and I can't even remember which truck he was in.

Btw if you love easter eggs you might want a copy of MGS1 the Twin Snakes you find Mario, Yoshi, Link and a small DMC refrence
