I actually like the idea of a Midsommar-esque setting. Some psychedelic drugs/bio weapons involved with some trippy deformed humanoids.

After I complete RE8, I’ll give my own answer... depending on how off the rails RE8 gets though I might have to agree with @Turo602 and say screw it.
