25,000 Dollar TV?!?!

Any way mine is.... A TV, a console, and a controller. Its really all you need...Except some games.

I got a 32 inch LED hd . One of my favourite things is a 'Scuf' controller, its an official one with some additions. i have the A and X buttons underneath so i can run , jump + aim at the same time without taking thumb off right stick. it has no slow turn on the sticks and a military grip paint on the underside which stops it slipping with sweat.
Its also MLG legal before any claims im a modder.
I also have a Astro set headphones that i use for late night sessions but tbh the headphones are not comfortable.

My parent recently upgraded their tv, so now I have a... (wait for it:D)

REAR PROJECTION TV!!!

Yeah I need it for all my retro games, because my plasma doesn't like them for some reason. The old RPTV is a luxury for retro gaming. Damn thing is huge! Plus it's from before the days of widescreen.

It's really heavy and takes up half the room though.

32" Samsung.
I love Samsung. My first flat-screen TV was a 22" Samsung, but I upgraded to a 32" not too long ago. I love it. I don't really like huge screens, and my dorm is tiny anyway. As for audio, I just use the TV. Oh, and I play on PS3. :)

What is a scuf controller? Is it a gamepad or something else? Is that where the A and X buttons are?
What does MLG legal mean?
Lol sorry for asking so much but I don't understand much of it. :p

How earlier?
It's almost like with any other electronics. Prices goes down and down. Maybe not as much as with computers though. I think the biggest drop in prices for TVs was some time after LCD and plasma got popular. They were more expensive than CRT screens initially, but as they sold in millions on millions the manufacturing costs dropped, and I believe LCD and plasma are now cheaper to manufacture than CRT ever was.

High quality LCD or plasma TVs are still expensive, but not as expensive as high quality CRT TVs.

Quality is more than resolution (HD). A very cheap TV can produce a perfect HD still picture with nice colors, but a good TV needs to do more than that.

  • 23" BenQ 3D monitor
  • PC
  • Xbox 360 controller for those occasional games that aren't especially well optimized for keyboard use.

I only play RE5 and I do so on my PC...it's a custom-built gaming rig and I have literally no clue what's gone into it because I'm a girl and it isn't pink so it's already lost my interest...

But from what I can remember when Steve was telling me all about it, I have a Fireglider gaming mouse, a Cooler Master HAF case, some AMD stuff, some NVidia stuff, some pretty lights to keep me amused when I get bored and lots of extras thrown in with words like "force" and "geo" and the letter X followed or preceded by numbers.

Still using Vista though so when Steve gets Windows 8 I'll be upgrading to 7. I can guarantee you I will not notice one tiny difference in performance. At all.

If I do play RE5 on the XBOX 3620, I play on a 50-something inch LG plasma. But I prefer the PC.

its a special controller i brought when i was into gears of war . I brought it online but it was expensive. You can tell them to fit 2 extra buttons underneath to whichever you want so I had mine as A and X. http://www.scufgaming.eu/
They also do other aditions like a 'scuf' grip which feels really nice and trigger stoppers (i don't use those). I would have thoroughly recommended them, but then it went wrong...after about 5 months hammering on gears of war the A button paddle wore out and sent it back they did repair it within like a week for free. Under the paddles is a really tiny button and its doesnt seem that strong.
MLG legal means its allowed for those MLG competitive gaming events and not an 'illegal' controller because it doesnt have rapid fire.

Nice!! I didn't know such custom controllers existed. They only mention PS3 and Xbox, I wish it would work with PS2 also. For a custom quality product I don't think £84 is too bad. I bookmarked them. :)

Which part of the controller is called a paddle?

I didn't know what MLG was but I've found out now.

They add two extra buttons underneath that they screw these 'paddle' things onto. Their basically two long triggers that touch the little extra buttons.
