Resident Evil 5 Versus Mode DLC...

I was just wondering how many of you have gotten the Versus Mode DLC?

If so, is it worth buying? I've heard alot of negative reviews about it, but i thought i'd ask you all because were the true Resi fans

Versus mode imho, is not BAD...but it is not everything it could be, its definatley a lot of fun but also extremely frustrating and predictable.

I highly dislike the Slayers mode as unless you are using the likes of STARS Wesker or battlesuit Jill, you wont have much of a chance and will probably spend most of the time dead or playing catchup.

However that being said, Survivor mode is a blast, no matter the choice of character, the mode is a level playing field...the combat is fast and fun, and no weapon is ever considered "useless" not to mention there is less frustration to be had when bosses come along compared to Slayer mode, as people tend to avoid it rather than kill it, as the bosses can make a useful "distraction" especially the reapers in the mines.

The videos look fun on youtube, you can search for some an see what you think from the looks of the gameplay. If I had the money for it I'd probaly get it.. That is if I had Xbox Live lol

But the parts where you shoot each other... well.. I think it looks a little bit lame the way both players just stand there shooting each other till the other player is dead lol.

there seems to be no skill to it, i mean as RE5. stated, its just running around until you come face to face, then whoever dies first really..tbh i don't see the fun in that.

well those video's were taken when it was first released, anyone that stands still and fires at each other deserves to be killed ^^

the trick is to keep on the move, make use of the quick-turn and pick your shots rather than standing still, heck if you catch someone standing next to a time bonus you can get a free melee on them too which is always amusing ^^

trust me though you have to keep moving as if someone gets hold of the hydra, handcannon, nitrogen rounds and grenade launcher or psg-1...sitting duck quickly becomes dead sitting duck ^^
