Resident Evil 7 Trouble with the Burner weapon

I have put the Burner together, but it is in the lower part of my inventory, not at the top with the quick select directional buttons like the other weapons. I cannot equip it to fight the flying insects. I have fuel and the burner has 150 ammo loaded. The description still says needs fuel to work (or something like that..)

Any suggestions on how to equip the Burner????? Thanks.

Is your inventory full or something?
When in the inventory screen press square on it (assuming ps4) and just move it into a directional button slot and it should auto rotate it to take up two spaces vertically and replace whatever was in that position before

The issue is that for you to be able to use a weapon, it absolutely has to be on one of the direction buttons for you to equip it. It's not like the old games where that's just a quick way to equip something, it's the only way. You can't manually equip from the inventory at all, whether it's on a directional button or not.

Ok thanks.. When I get home I'll try it out. Didn't realize I could move it.... Yes, it's PS4... Thanks... (was getting really tired of those wasps or whatever they are.....)
