The Walking Dead: Survival Instincts

Yeah, I am. I shall be getting it when it comes out, as I think it'll be great to play as the Dixon brothers.

Also, I'm a sucker when it comes to zombie games.

I am excited for it. I'm a big fan of The Walking Dead (In pretty much all media) and that's the main reason why I'm going to get this game.

I'm not really that into the walking dead games, nor comics, I'm really just into the TV series at the moment, although I may give this game a shot at some point.

I'm more excited for the second season of the Telltale TWD game. I'm not really a fan of first person games so unless this is absolutely wonderful I will probably pass on it.

yes i love walking dead , got every comic and love the show. I havent had time to get into the telltale game, i prefer action tbh and tried the demo. i didnt like the art style of the game either. I know it was 'comic' style but to me it was diferent and less realistic to the comics art style. it was too cartoony for me personally! i'd love to try the old telltale game and get into it though when i have some more time.
The new one announced by activision sounds good, i hope it is like Left 4 dead 2 but with larger more explorative levels. Left 4 dead 2 for me was probaly the best co-op zombie game ever and is a lot deeper than people think. i think activision show promise with the black ops zombie modes i hope they nail this.

If Telltale makes a sequel, I'm getting it. I absolutely hate adventure games, normally because of trash just piled into the market, but I loved the first game. Lee's story is awesome.

Actually, I'd say that for the other genres because adventures don't sell that much nowdays. One thing is certain though, the last company that'll create crappy adventures is Telltale. The guys there have gained rights of multiple successful adventure series of the past like Monkey island and S&M and they haven't screwd them up at all. I haven't played their monkey island but i can guarantee that Sam and Max is a hilarious adventure.

And they always divide their games into episodes if anyone is wondering. It's not unique to the walking dead.

But im getting offtopic oops.. Activision is a good company too. So yeah this one can't be too bad. It is just that the market is abundant with zombie shooters and it has to be really good to actually shine.

As far as I've heard, there's supposed to be a sequel in 2013.

Yeah, it's supposed to be Season 2. I just wonder who the main character will be since (SPOILER for those who haven't finished Telltale's Walking Dead) Lee bit the dust. And I don't think they'd go so far into the future to make Clem older.

I'm kind of hoping that we'll get to play as someone from Woodbury.

March? I'd better get a job soon! As there are a few games I really want this year. This may be my most anticipated gaming year yet.

Also Flipqy, your post is killing me! I saw the spoiler alert and looked away real fast, but what happened!? Did Lee die? AHHHH!!!

On many game sites, reviews and other comments, I hear this a lot 'theres far too many zombie games' the market is saturated with zombie games and similar comments.
Now as i massive zombie fan myself, i ask myself where are all these freaking games? Theres hardly any. And basically none worth playing anymore. If there is an abundance of zombie games then there is a f**king nuclear bomb of FPS army shooters.
The best ever true co-op Zombie game is probaly Left 4 dead 2, (im an xbox gamer), so i dont have access to a decent PC rig, otherwise i'd love to try Day Z. There's also Dead Island, quite a good game, that one, but suffers from samey controls and no variety in combat..only one melee and no block.
Apart from these 2 old games, where is the abudance of zombie games? If anything we need much much more zombie games, some more survival based and lonely feeling, some more action based, Left 4 dead style.
Anyway , apart from L4d there isnt really any serious zombie games on xbox 360. Dead rising 1 +2 are so old now, and not much fun to play, dead rising 2 is far too easy and the first one had glaring gltiches like the respawning jeep.
Theres Black ops and Red dead redemption-zombie Dlc, these are not zombie games, they are 'zombie modes'.
Im starting to wish I had gone ps3 when my latest xbox broke as that new game 'The Last of Us' looks to be shaping up nicely.

The problem i see with this new Walking Dead, And im really in hope its good, is that theres no co-op announced yet?
i love to play games in co-op and this looks single only.
Slightly off topic but im going to try Dark Souls as i' never tried it and heard its very good. I hope more zombie games come out soon- definetly going to get Walking Dead S.I. on day one, as well as the new dead island riptide, and Aliens colonial marines this year hopefully will be a good year for horror/zombie games.
