Ok question. Why is it I see the new design of the website on my laptop that runs Windows Vista, but not on my other laptop that runs Windows XP?

Try clearing your cache and cookies on your browser, i did that about 2 days ago since my browser was slowing down to a snail's pace.

I dig it...The colors are AWESOME...I won't lie, I think something different should be done with the RE Games section..It's kind of clustered...But I can get over it lol...

Thank you for the positive feedback, chaps! I do agree that the current forum layout is getting a bit cramped, what with there being like a zillion Resi games and we have a forum for practically each and every one of 'em. My reasoning behind the splicing together of the 'Canonical Resi' boards and the 'Spin-off Resi' boards was partially because, in truth, I found it difficult to determine which games were 100% canon and in-keeping with the ongoing Resident Evil storyline.

Also -- and this was the most deciding factor -- having all Resident Evil gaming forums lumped together under one category, organized in chronological order, means that some of the more quieter sections will likely receive a bit more attention. To provide a slightly more detailed example of one of the other benefits of this new restructuring: Operation Raccoon City is a brand-spanking new game, but because it's non-canon to the series, its designated forum had to be relocated to three-quarters of the way down the page, despite it being one of the most active forums (even now).

With this new approach, I believe that everything's just that little bit more cleaner and efficient. I'm certainly not saying that it's perfect, though! With a little more refining and tinkering, then perhaps we'll be able to come up with a system which is idea for everybody. It's all down to experimentation, really!

Might i make a suggestion then? A sub forum within Umbrella Research & Development Labs, or just have one specific forum designated as the Non-canon spinoffs within the category, there's many ways to go about organization, but like you stated, refining and tinkering to perfection, just an idea to help get things goin. :)

That's not a bad idea at all, Xi. It's actually something I was considering before implementing the restructuring that we have in place now. The only problem that I had with that particular approach, however, is that I believe that sub-forums are almost universally ignored. I'm certain that while we'd have had a much cleaner-looking forum homepage, several forums would fall victim to being skimmed over because they were hidden inside of a sub-forum. In the 8-9 years that I've been in this racket, I've never found sub-forums to be a worthwhile option, sadly.

I feel old. :(
