The horror thread.

AgentZero

Through that door, is a seperate reality.
So I have decided to make a thread, in which we can discuss all things horror, not related to RE.

I'll start. There are a few things I would like discuss.

First: Video games
The suffering: I recently have bought this game but have not gotten very far. (I lack a memory card. But no worries, I have just bought one from amazon.... For 5.00$ free shipping! ) But from what I have played, Its great! Its scary, but not too scary as where I can't play it. (Silent hill 2 anyone?) I love insanity mode!

Second: Silent hill series.
I love the older ones. But it seems its turned to what Capcom is doing, turning it in to action.

Third: New movies.
Since about 05, I have seen horror movies....Go down the drain. I havn't seen a scary movie since like 1980s. What do you guys think?

Silent Hill 1 made me realise that a child crying (in the dark school's toilettes) could scare me that much.

I used to watch horror movies when I was younger, but today I don't have the guts anymore. Don't know why ... maybe because nowadays horror movies are too realistic and you cant' even laugh at the monster because he's made of plastic, or the blood because it's obvious some ketchup was used. Now it's too serious, and "pervert", I can't watch this anymore. :(

Video games are physically fictional, so beheading a zombie, and fountains of blood don't do me the same effects ... :D

There was this horror film Feast I once caught in tv. I had not any expectations and it turned out to be quite a decent B-movie. What I really liked was the fact that there was not a single protagonist and any of the individuals could die at any moment. Not like most films where the main character gets in a ****ty situation and you are like "Meh, he's the protagonist, he can't die unless the end is approaching".

If I remember correctly, The Suffering was free on PC. Not that scary. All I remember was frustrating boss fights.

I get very nervous when I play Slender, even before grabbing a page. Some Indie horror are often scarier than big name horror games.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I recently seen the new Silent Hill movie and thought that was intense and scary.

Someone recommended Slender to people who wants to get scared, and I'm very curious about it. I could need something scarier than RE. XD

I just got this game called Alice Madness Returns,

My mom thinks its scary... Not me.:D

Would you guys classify it as a horror?
