Resident Evil - Code: Veronica Still the best in the series

I played through this game recently and it still gives me goosebumps. The music is really good and the game is actually pretty scary. I believe it's the best in the series.. but I havn't tried any RE game past 4 so maybe that could change.

What do you think??

I think you are wrong, CV is more of a "theme" game than anything. It has a good amount of content and lots of exploration and backtracking, but I would not call it the best.

I'm just sharing my experience of my first play through, because someone else here shared a similarly great experience with the game. I'm not sure how you could judge those experiences as "wrong". Obviously you had a different experience which is fine.

CV is the most overrated game in the series, and add the fact that some people praise it for very fishy reasons (It has Nazi's!!!1) and you have a multitude of red flags that makes negative feedback inevitable.

You can say that is not what you thought of the game, but someone's own experience of the game is not wrong.

The Ashford family are British upper class and they are also the villains in the story, Alfred was genuinely evil. Capcom decided not to go with a family that had German origins to avoid controversy on that topic.

Red flags All I am guilty of is thoroughly enjoying the series, that's why I'm here.

So you agree with Dusk Golem that a Code Veronica remake is currently in development? He has been right about a few things recently so it adds to the credibility of his leak that a Code Veronica remake is coming.

I don’t "agree" with Dusk, i’m going off what Capcom said a while back about wanting to do more remakes, and Jun Takeuchi confirming remakes are a part of the brand’s long term plan after Requiem, so i’m expecting and hoping for remakes of CV, 5 and eventually another of 1.
