Returning characters

Discuss the return of old school characters in Requiem.

So far we've got:

- Alyssa Ashcroft
- Leon S. Kennedy
- Sherry Birkin

It seems like this game is going to be way bigger than previously expected. At this point we can no longer rule out the return of even more characters from past games. I'm thinking Ada, Jill, and even Claire.

If Sherry is actually in the same situation as Leon given that they’re in a race for time, I wouldn’t be shocked if everyone just started appearing—Especially taking into account Leon didn’t arrive with a team.

Not Jill, she’s likely going to be RE10 which I predict will centre on her and Chris and the address the BSAA storyline.

Jill and Chris are now grandparents. Leon is now "barely old" and just enough for an action game like Requiem.

Now, if they remade Umbrellas End from Umbrella Chronicles as a survival horror game and not a rail shooter featuring Chris and Jill that would be cool and appropriate for a return of the OG duo, but I digress.

I was hoping for at least a Chris cameo but I’m a full on Chris lover so I just want to see him in every RE game lol but I’m glad he at least got a mention (a few times!), a tear ran down thy cheek.

I really liked that Chris was mentioned a couple of times in this game as well. He’s always been my favorite from the series but, I have to admit, he was poorly represented and utilized for RE7 and RE8 (plus part of me thinks that Jill should have been used in his place for these games). That said, I hope they put as much thought and effort into Chris’ personality for the potential/likely remakes to come like they have Leon.

I’m very happy to see that Requiem didn’t feel like a rehash of RE6 with Leon. He actually had more purpose to be in this game and accomplished more as a character with this story.

I was kind of disappointed to not see Ada get involved for this game but I get Capcom is reimagining their relationship all together.
Very curious to know the details about Leon’s ring and who that special someone is though!
Capcom never fully dives into relationships for these characters so even a simple ring on a finger is a nice peek into his life outside of fighting bio terrorism.

Having Alyssa utilized outside of the spinoffs is something that I did appreciate with this game. It helps build on the series lore and continues on a path of finally starting to make things feel more cohesive.

I was happy to see Barry get so many references in the game. He is my favorite supporting character in the franchise so it made me smile everytime his name popped up.

Sad to see Claire get zero mentions, though. Ada I couldn’t care less about.

I don’t dislike Ada but yeah…if she never appeared again I wouldn’t be bothered. The RE4 remake voice actress also sucked the life out of her so I’d be happy to never hear her talk again if they want to use the same woman lol

Barry is great, a truly classic character.
