Resident Evil Live Action Fan-Film (Based on RE1)

Back in 2016, we set out to make an RE fan movie called "Bio Evil" in the hopes of embodying the games within a feature length film. However after setbacks derailed production, the project was left on the back burner. (I've even seen the original name of the project used by other individuals for a fan-made game(s), some even using our logo. Not that it makes much of a difference, as our film, much like their game, is only a fan project so we weren't about to lose sleep over it.)

Near the end of 2022, we finally worked up the commitment to finally finish our film. The project was modified and cut back to a short form with the plot altered to accommodate our new vision. Our film serves as an "alternate universe" scenario that explores several concepts and backstory from the first game with elements from some later games as well. Using a mix of original characters (heavily inspired by the games) and characters/monsters from the games, we aimed to tell our story in a more contemporary setting that follows its own path.

We were fortunate enough to have had access to several sets that captured the essence of the finer details of the original mansion and laboratories. In order to better capture the atmosphere of the series, we collaborated with the magnificent composer Sea Elegy, who has a wide library of synth tracks very reminiscent of the games' score. In the end, we simply titled our project "BioHazard" which, of course, is in reference to the Japanese title. The full film is available on our YouTube channel 2 Ronin Pictures (link is provided below).
