"BWEEBWOOP! BWEEBWOOP! BWEEBWOOP!" The alert sirens blared through the private chambers of the rather dungeon like facility, sending many of the higher ups into full alert status, to pack their things and get moving. Those sirens always meant something bad was to come, always has been, they'd heard them before, usually on drills only though, but they were sure this wasn't a drill, people weren't single file like usual, they were bolting and shouting and leaving behind valuables in a rush to leave.
"Hmph. It's time again" Zack muttered and picked up his Ak-47, strapping it to his back as he grabbed his Mauser C96 handgun and put it in it's holster at his side. The powerful handgun made him feel a little better as it's heavy weight brought his pants down only slightly, and soon he was moving, out of his quarters and into a closet, where the real escape was, most others were going to be sealed into the facility, and god only knows what would happen to them.
He clicked the elevator button and stepped inside, then pushed the Floor One button and leaned against the back wall, looking down at the floor. He felt a little sorry for everyone who wouldn't make it, but it was survival after all, not his fault a quite a few people had chosen the wrong profession to go into. He heard a ding, and he quickly ducked out, and started for the door when his radio beeped quietly.
"Yes Mr. B.?" The man said quietly and kneeled down, clicking a button on his radio to move the call to blue tooth. "What is it?"
"Someone hit the Biohazard alert button, you will stay there and after ten hours, call in for some backup." Mr. "B" said, his tone cold.
"What?!"
"Do as I say Mr. Blake. Your life may just depend on it, lock Floor 1F escape door and wait... Just wait, I'll call when you the time is right, am I clear?"
Zack locked the door as soon as he was finished and nodded before saying: "Roger that, sir." He said sir in a slightly sarcastic tone and closed the line, then sat down next to one of the many boxes and listened to the screams of people outside... Hoping time would pass quickly so he could get the hell out of there...

All was quiet in the car that Julia and Rebecca were in, Julia's black Mitsubishi Eclipse. Usually they always had a song playing, but not this time, this was not the time to be joking around. The older's boyfriend had called from his work, saying it was an emergency, that they needed to come over, but when they were about to ask what was going on, the phone call was abruptly cut off.
After the initial shock was left, which took about five minutes, they were sent into panic, running around the house to collect their things, clothing, their guns, and then they had to search for the keys to the car. Which was a rather tedious task, and then when they found them under Rebecca's pillow, they double checked everything, then hopped into the car and started driving, only to realize they were going to the wrong way.
Julia's boyfriend was named Mark, and he worked in the pharmaceuticals division in the X-Cell office building on the South side of town, in the bay area that had once been inhabited by a native tribe, but when the colonists settled there, they were forced to leave. Nowadays, the area is empty as ever, since it has been fenced around by X-Cell.
The fence was electric, and covered with barbs on it, so when they had to power done occasionally, that nothing could still get in, or out for that matter. Nobody has ever seen a single vehicle or person go out after they have gone in, kind of creepy, but no one really complained about it, but it was on many people's minds, especially the mothers of the young workers who went there, they barely ever got calls from their children, and they never left to visit, not even during the holidays.
Julia looked out of the driver's side window for a brief second, looking at her reflection, then back at the road. Rebecca looked at her in concern and placed her hand on Julia's shoulder to try and comfort her. It didn't work, but the woman pretended it did, placing her left hand on top of her sister's and smiling.
"He's okay Jule..." She said, nodding. Rebecca had a knack for being one of the optomistic ones.
"I know... But his phone call... It just disturbed me..." Julia sighed and looked at the road ahead, hoping to see the sign saying do not enter so she could pick up the pace and ram into that damned gate.
"Sis, slow down, what if a deer was to pop up and you hit it at this speed?" The younger looked concerned.
The older sighed and let up slightly on the gas, then closed her eyes for a second before taking the turn to the facility. She smirked and then went back down on the gas, gripping the wheel tightly and narrowing her eyes. She was gonna ram the gate, destroy it, and find her boyfriend, no matter what happened.
As the spedometer climbed to seventy miles-per-hour, Rebecca was clutching the edges of her seat and looking at her older sister with wide, fearful eyes. Julia ignored this, and as she drifted a turn and saw that gate closed, she pushed down on the pedal as hard as it could go and was sent into eighty, not stopping. She narrowed her eyes and let the gas go to eigthy-five, then she hit the steel gate, crashing through like it was a sheet of paper.
The younger sister slammed her eyes shut and covered her ears as she heard the metal screeching against the sides of the car, the noise was truly painful. She let out a moan as the car flew out of the gates steel tendrils that had caused long scratches to appear on the cars exterior and halt to a stop a few feet from the gate.
"Guess the electricity is still on." Julia said, laughing a little as she opened the car door and stepped outside. When she closed the door she knelt next to the car door and ran her fingers along the deep grooves the metal gate had left in her beatiful Eclipse. She sighed and looked left, to the large building that was the X-Cell facility. "Onward we go."
"On foot?" Rebecca groaned, looking up at the tower, which wasn't that far, a good five minute walk.
"Yep, now quit whining and let's go." The older sister said and started walking, unholstering her Arcus 98 Custom Handgun as her sister unholstered her QSZ-92, Julia's was a custom gun by the Anderson Brother's who lived just outside the Emerald City limits, and they made custom guns for people, if they had the money to pay for it.
Julia's Arcus was chambered with a .38 round, which was often used in the Ingram M11 Machine-Pistol, as she didn't like the weakness of the Nine-Millimeter, and she wasn't too fond of revolver type guns, so she had it cusomed. Rebecca's gun was a nine-millimeter, as she wasn't much of the overkill type. The first's handgun was a normal Arcus 98, but it had a ring hammer, and a cobalt blue line that signaled the beginning of the slide, a custom trigger, and on the sight green points were added. The latter handgun had only one custom feature added, and that was the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo insignia added to the grip.
So, with weapons in hand, they started toward the tall building that they knew Mark was in. The stars above were bright as ever, illuminating the dirt road ahead fairly well, but the forest that surrounded their left and right not so much. Rebecca would often cast uneasy eyes to the forest, shaking her head softly every so often and mumbling something to herself.
"Something wrong sis?" Julia asked, keeping her voice low as she walked and looked around too.
"..." The younger looked down at the road, memories flashing through her mind, a walk in the forest, a seemingly abandoned train, blood... She shot her head up at the sound of her sister's voice and squeaked softly. "Ah, it's nothing, just, thinking... Is all..." She looked away, blushing.
Julia frowned a little but looked ahead, sighing as she took a step and snapped a twig under her foot, but the sound was louder than it was supposed to be, and she recoiled slightly. Then, another spimd came, a louder sound, like hooves on dirt, and she spun around, raising her gun to, what looked like, a full grown Male Deer. But there was something wrong about it, the way it just stared at them with it's big, red eyes, the way it snorted as it turned to fully look at them.
It snorted and took a step toward them, lowering it's head slightly. Then Rebecca gasped and raised her gun, pointing the small hangdun at it's skull and fumbling for her flashlight, clicking the light on and revealing a split skull, with brain in the crack.
"What the **** is that?!" Julia shouted, backing up a step and raising her gun as well. Then, the buck raised it's head and let out a long, droning whail that pierced the night-time and sent chills up the girl's spines.
As the sickening whail ended, four does jumped out from the tree line, looking much like the first, flaps of flesh hanging off of their bodies, and one was missing it's ears. Their eyes were just as piercing as the Buck's were. Then, the large animal lowered it's head and crouched, before springing towards them.
"Run Jule!" Rebecca said, before opening fire on the animal as it charged toward them, hoping that she could bring down the beast before it made it to her and her sister.
