I realized it has been 10 years since i have played RE2 any scenario on hard mode. The last time that happened i captured my walkthrough in this video. After all this time i wanted to play on hard mode immediately, but i could not find any saves on internet, so i had to do it myself.
LEON A, LEON B, CLAIRE A, CLAIRE B (autosaves to start a new game on hard mode):
Both B scenarios have the extra back pack preserved in the weapons locker room B1 of the police station, but no machine gun!
Warning! These autosaves have been created on Windows 7! On Windows 10 the game would run, but saves did not work. I actually deliberately assembled a potato PC with Windows 7 OS just to play Resident Evil 2 on hard mode again. If you are a true fan of the game, installing good old Win7 won't be a problem! Have fun!
