Games:
1. The Walking Dead
2. Persona 4 Golden
3. Silent Hill: Downpour
4. Final Fantasy XIII-2
5. Halo 4
6. Mass Effect 3

I only listed six games because this was a really bad year for gaming (in my opinion) and these are the only games that I truly "loved."

late edit: After a few weeks of listening to some of my top albums I've decided to switch #1 and #2.

Not in any particular order, just the top ten games and movies that I liked.
Games:
  1. Resident Evil Revelations
  2. Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City
  3. Resident Evil 6
  4. Silent Hill Downpour
  5. The Walking Dead
  6. ZombiU
  7. Assassin's Creed 3
  8. Halo 4
  9. I am Alive
  10. Darksiders 2
Movies:
  1. Finding Nemo 3D
  2. The Campaign
  3. Marvel's The Avengers
  4. The Dark Knight Rises
  5. Sinister
  6. The Amazing Spider-man
  7. Underworld: The Awakening
  8. MIB 3
  9. Dark Shadows
  10. The Raven

This is not in any particular order and is incomplete and may change since I haven't watched all the movies I wanted this year and I haven't played all the games of this year or yet to have.

Music -
1. Silent Screams (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn)
2. Love Psalm (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn and Troy Baker)
3. No We're Free (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn)
4. Intro Perp Walk (Mary Elizabeth McGlynn)
5. Bus to Nowhere (May Elizabeth McGlynn)
6. Silent Hill (KoRn)
7. Equality Under the Law (John Williams)
8. With Malice Toward None (John Williams)
9. The Peterson House and Finale (John Williams)
10. It's Over (From The Walking Dead video game)

Movies -
1. Silent Hill: Revelations
2. Lincoln
3. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
4. Dark Knight Rises
5. The Avengers
6. Chronicle
7. End Of Watch
8. Men in Black III
9. Looper
10. The Expendables 2

Games -
1. Silent Hill: Downpour
2. The Walking Dead
3. Final Fantasy XIII-2
4. Yakuza: Dead Souls
5. Resident Evil 6
6. Max Payne 3
7. Mass Effect 3
8. Silent Hill HD Collection
9. Toyko Jungle
10. Assassin's Creed III

Well, it turns out that I don't actually watch movies or listen to music that much. But I do have games!
1. Borderlands 2
2. Far Cry 3
3. Max Payne 3
4. Torchlight 2
5. Kerbal Space Program. Though it's not complete, the alpha is still released and that alone is enough.
6. Mass Effect 3
7. Darksiders 2
8. Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb. The DLC alone is worth this list.
9. Scribblenauts: Unlimited. This is only because of the option to make your own character AND because the word "Otaku" makes a person that looks suspiciously like a combination between Kamina from Gurren Lagann and Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes.
10. FTL: Faster Than Light. This is one of the best games I played, period. The only reason it isn't higher up is because of the insane difficulty curve and because the game is just plain difficult. This wouldn't be a bad thing, but every playthrough is also very long. It, being somewhat, yet at the same time very little, roguelike in nature, it is very frustrating when you die.

I will also add Hitman Absolution really sucked.

Top Ten List eh? Well, I won't be able to get ten on ANY list, but I'll start of with some of my top picks for greatest happenings in 2012. (No particular order aside form the No. 1 Spot)

1. Somebody That I Used to Know- Gotye
2. Domino- Jessie J

Games

3. Silent Hill: Downpour
(Games this year kind of blew)

2012 was kind of a slow year for me, not that many games or movies interested me, there were a few that did though. There is one game that I'm hyped for that was rumored to release in 2012, but it hasn't yet so I assume it's gonna be a 2013 game, it's the Rise of the Triad remake.

Best Games of 2012:
1. Borderlands 2
2. Resident Evil Revelations
3. Lollipop Chainsaw
4. Halo 4
5. The Darkness 2

Worst games of 2012:
1. Mass Effect 3 (not just because of the endings, the whole game sucked)
2. Resident Evil 6
3. Resident Evil: ORC

Best Movies of 2012:
1. The Dark Knight Rises
2. The Avengers
3. Ted
4. The Expendables 2
5: Resident Evil: Retribution

I find it kind of surprising that you liked Resident Evil Retribution. I liked it too, but you don't seem like the kind of person who would like the Anderson movies.

(if I offended or insulted you in some way, I sincerely apologize)

Come to think of it,, games did kinda suck this year...

Music:

Paloma Faith (omgomg seriously, check her out)
Mika
Lana Del Rey
Madonna (I know, I know)
Mariana and the Diamonds
Scissor Sisters
Die Antwood
Calvin Harris
Hyper Crush (was that this year? ...Zune says yes)
Maroon 5
