Hey guys. im thinking of doing a speed run on this and wanted to know what the rules should be. I:E can i use special weapons can i do it over from a used file can i use the rocket launcher.

so go ahead and post me some rules and i will get to doing it asap.

when im doing speed runs, i don't use any extras at all.
so i would do it on a brand new save (so that would mean all weapons are un-modified), normal mode, no special weapons..nothing.
so basically whats called an "out of the box" speed run.
so play it as though you just got it and have no extras.

kk. with that im ought to get 5 or 6 hours. well first im gonna post check my facebook and get to it.

i'll give it a bash as well, maybe start it tonight and see how far i get.

if you've got infinite weapons try it again. and you'll probably get it done in under 3 hours.
nice run btw.

uhg. i got it in 1:56 minutes with infinite but that was before this forum :p

what was that on, easy/normal/hard?
do it again and get a picture/video up of the time.
i'm doing an out of the box speed run atm, not doing to well, at the end of chapter 2-1 and its taken me 35 minutes so far.
i'm trying to dodge as much as i can, but since i havent modded any weapons yet, the troll took me quite awhile

35 minutes at 2-1 is good. i think the troll took me 35 minutes. lol

i've kinda given up for now, im well into the castle segment, don't know the time off the top of my head, gamecubes off at the moment.
however im actually really bored of resident evil 4 this time, i've been playing loads of REmake recently, so i think im back into old school zombie horror rather than action/adventure resident evil

an infinite speed run? if thats out of the box your good

that was an out of the box speed run.
my infinite run will be under 2 hours i hope.
it was much easier than i thought, basically dodged all enemies, and bought the rocker launcher to deal with the bosses.
that way i hardly had to upgrade my weapons at all, juts used special attacks to keep accuracy up.

i already had it started about 6 hours into it
That's seems like a good time to me! :) But the accuracy is only 29%, but maybe that's okay considering it's a speed run.

What?? Finishing the game in less than 2 minutes is super good. Was it a power outage? :p

@ Hades, 3:29 hours is almost unbelievable fast to me. Congrats.

Hey Guys this is my first post..

I got severe problem in the speed run of Salazar statue at pro difficulty, and I continued the game around 20+ times ...Is there any solution of it..??;)

Welcome, however you are in the wrong thread for asking questions about gameplay questions. This thread is for how fast you can complete the entire game. But I'll be more than glad to answer your question I guess......

I'm not quite sure what you are asking, by speed run are you referring to when the Salazar statue is chasing you out to the bridge before the final tower?

If that's the case, then there really isn't any advise we can offer you, as it relies on your ability to follow the action commands. Just mash the A button as hard and fast as you can. If he stomps on you because you cant break the lock on the door quick enough, then use the knife, it breaks it immediately.

If you're referring to the puzzle switches that operate the statue's hands, then that's very straight forward and very simple to solve.
