Revelations 2 question: split screen only one profile?

Trying to play split screen with my wife, but only one profile at a time on a console (x1) ? Only game that has done this. it is a pain to play all the way through than realise only one gets upgrades etc... any one know what to do? To have two profiles while we play split screen, even raid mode has this problem only one profile at a time (second is basically guest). it is annoying

Before booting the game, if both players sign their controllers in on the ps4 menu as separate accounts, does this work?

no. It is rather odd. Will try some things no one has said anything about it

I'm not sure if there's any way to do this. When I play co-op the other person is always just 'partner', I can't find any other way to do it. Maybe it'll be patched in later, but I think it's unlikely.

Maybe when matchmaking is up when disc version is released, still a pain
