Private get-aways

Anybody on here got a little place they go to when they are bored, or just needing a few minutes to themselves ?

Spent a couple of hours by the river yesterday.. i had spent my entire afternoon filling out job applications and what not, so decided it was much to nice an evening to pass without enjoying it.. it's a good trick to clear the mind.

Anybody got some of their fave spots ?

That looks like my perfect kind of place...

If I have the time (and if the place has been litter-picked recently enough - broken glass, no thank you) I like to sit up The Rock which is just a huge ancient sandstone mound known more officially as Etching Hill. Got some lovely panoramic views (if you ignore the massive cooling towers on the horizon) and can be a lovely place to sit and relax so long as the teenagers don't spoil it by drinking, yelling obscenities at everyone and throwing rubbish all over the place.

I love the sound of running water when I really need to think. I've a creek near my house I can go to if need be. Usually, I just walk around my neighborhood. It's pretty quiet and there are a lot of trees and plants everywhere. I love being about trees when I think.

Also, places with lots of books. I feel so calm in a library, or a bookstore. I sometimes go to my school's library and sit in a quiet corner and read for hours. It's nice.
