Official: Positive Thread

Tron8

Fighting just to survive, but you taught me i can.
This thread is all about positivity, whether it's something nice that happened in your day or just anything that might put a smile on your face. I figured by stating something positive that happened in your life it'll translate into a more positive mind set in general. (Not that you're all negative people)

Recent 'discussions' amongst friends regarding a certain individual I like has taken my mind off of family troubles. It's funny because I was only supposed to give a friend a lift to a shop and drop them back; it ended up being the Spanish Inquisition (to be honest I did expect them). "HOW LONG", "SINCE WHEN", "WANT ME TO TELL HER", "I SO NOTICED", "[friends' names] HAVE TOTALLY NOTICED YOU NOTICED" and "WANT ME TO ORGANISE SOMETHING" were the featured questions. Help.

Also my performance in mock examinations has cheered me up; I'm predicted 3 As (in A-Levels, the final exams before you move to university, you typically take only 3 subjects; at AS (advanced subsidiary) you take, typically, 4) and getting just that in the mocks has given me a nice confidence boost before the exams proper (which are only five weeks away).

I'm glad we have this thread. It's a delight to read about people being happy.

I'm happy because I lost a little weight again, after mysteriously gaining some in the course of the last week. Riding my bike must have helped, I should do that more often.

And of course, I'm happy that I made Maddy and Valentine happy by liking their posts.

I'm gradually coming out of this latest re-emergence of depression. I get every so often, only for a short period of time but as severe as long term MDD. I was diagnosed with it a year ago and have had it for a good 9 or 10 years (people always ask how someone who's the son of an investment banker, in a nice house, in a nice school with very good prospects can be depressed: look beyond the materialistic elements of my life) and thanks to an accumulation of bad events (stepdad being more abusive than normal, both my mum and dad getting cancer scares, my dad then becoming an absolute a-hole afterwards, my grandfather with dementia not recognising who I am and this predisposition to depression) it was set off at the worst time and may have pushed some friends away.

Luckily, it dissipates as quickly as it comes on. The friends I can trust always help.

Let's see other things that make me happy are:

-When I play video games, especially with my top favorite video game characters of all time: Lara Croft & Jill Valentine. Those two badass chicks have a very special place in my heart
-When I read a Japanese text and understand everything without a problem.
-Also when I speak Japanese and every Japanese can understand me.
-Everytime when I meet my best buddies.

I always feel happy when Markiplier uploads a new video. But I'm also sad when the video ends, so it's a double edged sword.

There are a TON of things that make me happy.

The fact that I found a website with people as passionate as I am when it comes to RE.

Heck, RE itself makes me happy.

Other than that, I am happy to have a great family that loves me.
