In the first resident evil why do they call Albert by his last name?

Chris calls Jill, Barry, and Rebecca by there first names. Jill calls them by there first names as well, but they always call Albert by his last name in the games, why is that?

i don't think there is any valid reason lol..just because wesker sounds cooler.

probably because he's their squad leader and usually you call people of a higher authority by their last name.....

Exactly. They refer to him as Captain Wesker at the beginning of the game and over the course of it, eventually just shorten it to Wesker.

Sign of respect to their superior; you never call a teacher by their first name, but you call your mates by theirs.

their reason for shortening it was probably because by the end they had no respect for him.
