Resident Evil 7 Immortal Jack Killed me 16 times before I figured out what to do?

Hello friends, I'm fan of Resident Evil Series that's why I bought Resident Evil 7. Resident Evil 7 they really did good work. While playing the game sometimes I really got scared even about to get a heart attack. When I was playing and in first fight with Immortal Jack. He killed me 16 times before I figured out what to do? Well I'll admit that I died quite a lot on my first playthrough

I blame the first person view cause it limits the view of your surroundings, particularly of what's behind you. That and the fact that a lot of areas are dark as hell plus your movement speed is kinda sluggish. But it's not so bad when you figure out the patterns for the bosses and enemies.
