If you won the lottery

What would you do if you won the lottery?

As for me. After the initial mess on the carpet i would make plans to split the money between family and the friends i have left.
Depending how much i get i would probably half it and put that in my savings, then the rest i would split between family and split again for friends. Then pay off some of my families debts with the leftover.
With the half i saved i would move out, probably have a binge session. Many drinks. Maybe book a holiday or 2.
Id like to donate something to a charity but only one i feel is a good cause.
I dont mind being over generous, its money you didnt have before right, so you cant miss what you didnt have.
 
I actually wouldn't tell anybody outside my close family that I had won. It leaves your family in danger if some crazy person wants to kidnap your family and hold them to ransom, and you also get bombarded with letters from people asking for money. I would make sure that my family never wanted for anything, though.

I might make out I had won less than I had and give my friends some. But I would be wary of people taking advantage.

Then I would probably buy The Body Shop, maybe some games stores, and buy houses in about ten different countries and spend my time between them all.

well buy one house in libya...the coast in summer its fantastic alot of people come in the summer ^_^

I've actually thought about how much this would cost to do . . .

Anyway, I'd put in a Bank account and save it until I was 18, (Which leads me to wonder why I entered the lottery under aged) And then get a house, help out my family and friends, and then Magic The Gathering for days.
 
i assume you mean winning the lottery for an unfathomable amount..in which case;

i'd immediately set aside a fund to cover my dad's medical expenses for the rest of his life, and a different house if he would like.
my first order of personal business would be to get myself a car, since getting around without one in detroit is really difficult. then i'd probably get a quaint dwelling somewhere, probably close to here, just a rental for awhile.
after that, i'd probably get another house and furnish it, nothing crazy, maybe a 3-5 bedroom for my closest friends to live in, complete with gaming computers and all the fighting games we want so we could train as a team more often.
from there, i'd probably spend a chunk solely on myself and clear out my amazon and discogs wishlists :p
then i'd look into investing and just sit on the rest, i guess.
 
If I won the lottery I would do one of two things.

The first option is that I would move to California and be either in Los Angeles or San Diego, buy or hire people to construct for me a house made out of marble that is at least 2 floors and at most 3 floors, with a nice marble interior and nice furniture and decorations, a balcony, outside lights, and a pool, replace my Honda Civic Coupe with a Cadillac CTS Coupe that has black paint, pay for the rest of my college, buy some new clothes, pay for 2 surgeries, one foot surgery so that I finally won't have to live with flat feet anymore, and one laser eye surgery so that I no longer have to wear glasses, and if possible buy 2 Bears to take care of, one male and one female, and pay the zoo to breed them for me about once each or every other year, maybe a 3rd surgery to change my eye color if that is possible and change one eye to blue and one eye to either grey or green, maybe even a surgery or treatment to get rid of my nasty beard so that I no longer have to shave it, go to a hair stylist and get my hair straighten and dyed, maybe a tattoo on my back, arms, and on one of my eyes, and whatever is left I'll split in half and donate a quarter of one half to charity, one quarter of the same half to a wildlife organization, one quarter to St. Jude's, and the last quarter to an animal shelter, and use the remaining half to pay taxes, insurances, necessities, and still be able to do some fun stuff and still go back to the aforementioned hair stylist.

The second option, move to either Miami, New York City, Las Vegas, Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles, or Seattle, buy a high rise apartment (Or put it on leasehold), do the same as the first option minus everything that has to do with a marble house (And possibly minus the Bears since it is an apartment T_T)
 
Buy Google, so I can have access to their robot technology and expedite the inevitable robot takeover, with me as their master.

Or I'd just buy some of the more expensive things I've always wanted.

It depends on what my mood happens to be the moment I won the lottery.
