Haven't really posted her for quite a long time since the forum went quite inactive when RE6 came out on the consoles, besides was quite pre-ocupied myself as well but now that the PC version is coming out I thought it was the right time to show up here again. So yeah hope ya all will welcome me back :p

P.S. Anyone getting RE6 on the PC?

Welcome back!
It's a bit into the future for me, so I don't know what platform I'll get it for. It's gonna be either PS3 or PC. I don't know which one will be better, RE4 was not the best on PC but maybe RE6 is different.

Thank you, I can assure you it will be like the PC port of 5 and that was well thought through in terms of technical execution, they took their time with it just as now with 6.

... Aaaand the winner of the "Understatement of the Year" contest iiiiiiis....
ROMERO!
 :D

Yes!! And judging by what we know about the PC version so far, it was worth the wait. Console patches already installed, all problems solved, Ada's campaign and Agent Hunt unlocked from the start (although I don't know if this is a good thing; I like unlockings things), an exclusive "No Mercy" Mercenaries mode, QTE assistant for all difficulty settings, Siege Mode for free, and rumour has it the whole thing will cost only 30€! Now, if Capcom came up with some cool new costumes for Story Mode as well, I would be 90% happy! :D

They mentioned only the first title update, didn't say a word about the second but it should be included as well. This means maybe Agent Hunt isn't unlocked from the beginning but not a big difference.
I highly doubt the DLC modes are gonna be free, I don't know where VG24/7 got that from lolz but we still get No Mercy ;)
Ohh and yeah the price surprised me too - $39.99/€29.99/£19.99.
And just when I was about to give up on the fact that the PC version will have RE.NET support they announce it finally meaning chance of new costumes xD

Right! I forgot to mention RE.net - yet another cool thing! However, what they said about it confused me a little, maybe you understood it better: Will RE.net be available to all PC players, or only to those who download the game instead of buying it at the store? Because I don't know how you pay for downloading games or content (never did it before) and I prefer to have something I can touch anyway.
And yes, I read that the whole thing about free DLCs for PC players was probably just another misunderstanding, but the same source also says that while we'll have to pay for everything else, Siege Mode at least will be free for us. Well, let's just wait and see.

Thanks but we're still in January... :p

And you think someone might actually be able to beat that till December? ;)

Yes, of course it will be available to both. And buying games online is as easy as making a steam account here. You download the app to your PC, install it, log in with your created account, buy what you want with your card and then download it through the app as many times as you want, no risk of scratched discs or the like probs which is why I prefer it :p
And about Siege being free, would be nice but why would they make the latest DLC free, not the oldest, there's no logic in that lolz

I prefer to have something I can touch too. A downloaded file can be written to an optical disc and some printers can print images on discs, and other material can be printed out on paper, but it doesn't look professional. Until the day when I can make my own physical product that looks professional, I will prefer to buy the physical product.
And manuals on a screen are not appealing to me. I like the paper version, I don't like reading PDF documents.

Okay, give me the prize asap. :D

You get a special place in Helheim when you die. :) (I know, this is not exactly "asap", but I'm the guardian of the underworld, I can only give you this much. But keep in mind that it's a present for all eternity!)

@ Albert: I never scratch my discs or anything, I bought RE1 in 2000 or so, and the thing still looks new, so that's not a problem for me. The thing is, we have to pay for that download in one way or another, and I don't like the idea of paying via internet. Also, as Romero said, I prefer a printed manual over a PDF file.

Well, the disc scratching aint that big of a problem for me either but usually damaging, losing the disc is the most common problem for people, in the end it is everyone's personal preference.
Anyway, the DLCs obviously have to be acquired digitally, not sure how it will be now though that they seem to have dropped Games for Windows Live finally.

I look forward to it, but I want to delay it as long as possible. :p

Over 12 years old and still looks new, that's someone who cares for their stuff. :D (Just like me.)
I used to not like paying over the internet, but I do it more and more often. Though I still prefer not to. My least favorite part of online purchase, is to not know when I'll receive the goods (obviously not an issue with digital content).

I wonder if RE.net is really useful? I read that it's an online application that keeps track of your game statistics and let you share it via FB or Twitter, but I don't use FB or Twitter. So I think the game itself should be able to keep track of the game data. :/

The game itself does that too, there are ingame stats but RE.NET does more than that - it lets you take part in events and win stuff, unlock more items for the game and basically is just the icing on the cake that is the game itself.

Maybe a stupid question, but can the console people use RE.NET or do you need a PC to use it?
