Saw someone in a yt comment saying how hunks story ended and if he is out there in current RE he wouldn't be like the character we know.

Got me thinking how they could implement him into the new games. What if hunk was hired by BSAA after umbrella got taken down? He seemed to only carry about the mission or perhaps money like a mercenary? I think it could be cool to have him join the anti bio weapons scene. Doesn't have to be a main character or anything but at least a sequence in the game or a cameo or even a damn file reference lol.

What do you guys think about Hunks absence from the recent games?

Hunk's one of my favorite characters, so yes, I'd love to see him come back and I believe he will. Hunk's the only secondary character who somehow surfaced again and again in other RE games. There has even been a rumor that Hunk would get his own game. That is reason enough for me to believe that Capcom hasn't forgotten about him.

Since we know so little about Hunk, his character has a lot of potential for a good story in my opinion. Working for the BSAA after the downfall of Umbrella would be one option I suppose. But if I was a writer for an RE game, I wouldn't do it. For a simpel reason: Hunk is pretty much a darker version of Chris. Both are teamleaders who keep loosing their men. The only difference is, Chris seems to consider the well beeing of his team more important than the mission. He takes the loss of a teammate personal and reacts on an emotional level while Hunk's priority is the mission and dead teammates are casualties of war.

How would I incorporate him in a future game? Well, I guess after Umbrella's downfall Hunk would still be in the business. Maybe he works for a different pharma corp now, maybe he's a mercenary like Jake ... but what if he was "forced" to work with one of the "good guys"? Hunk's never failed a mission, but what if he does and is dropped by his current employer? Or what if he was badly screwed over by them? Could also be a more personal reason for him to "switch sides"... Either way, imagine Hunk would team up with one of our heroes (I'm thinking Chris, Leon or Jill) and said hero would find out that Hunk and his team were responsible for the outbreak in Raccoon City. Uwww the potential for conflict and mistrust. Haha. :p As an insider, he could also reveal some secrets about B.O.W.s, Umbrella or their successors. Yeah, if I had a say in it, Hunk would get a much bigger role in a future game.
