Resident Evil 4 Help a newbie pls...

Hi All, just got RE4 for PC on a friends recommnedation. Havve played manly strat/RPG games and have no "game" hardware, just mouse and keypad. Could anybody help recommend a simple game hardware that would make playing the game fun?

I am running Windows 7 beta, but can also play on a Vista Home Premium version.

Are there any gun controllers compatible with computer? If not, RE4 is fun enough without extra stuff xD it's one of the best games, if not THE best game ever made!

There are some "remotes" that look like playstation's, but for PC, with numbers instead of symbols (you'll understand why you need the numbers). I think that's what is more appropriate.
I played in Windows Vista, only with the keyboard (you can't use the mouse), but the controls in the keyboard are really messed up. If you want to play with the keyboard, here's the correspondence (number - key - function):

1-Ctrl(R) - Run/cancel
2-F - Command Ashley/move selection on inventory
3-Enter - Action/Confirm/Shoot
4-M - View map
5-Shift(L) - Ready knife
6-Shift(R) - Ready Weapon
I - Inventory (Stats screen)
Arrow keys - Move camera
WASD - Move Leon/Move aim
ESC - options/skip
