Hello and Happy Halloween

Hi, my name is Jason, I'm sixteen years old and I have yet to play a Resident Evil game. I feel like a fish out of water here because you guys seem to know EVERYTHING about them, and I only have my brother's old novelization of the first game to help me along.

I live in Alabama. Nuff said. My father will never allow me to purcase any games that seem even remotely 'mature' which has in the past included any game that did not have the word 'Barbie' in the title. And I was thirteen when that happened. Arg.

Anyway, right now I'm interested in playing the games in chronological order. How cheap is the first game? Maybe I can get my older brother to buy it for me this Christmas.

It depends on what console you're getting the first Resident Evil on~~~I think the last time I saw it it's..around $30-$40?? I'm not so sure =p

I own a PS2 and a PS1 that's not hooked up to my TV right now. Which would be better?

Yeah, but it could have been worse, I guess. At least he relented last year to PS2 games.

Id consider getting them all pre-owned

Here in Britain i could probbably get the whole series pre-owned for less than £30
