Game of the Year: 2014

Well guys, the new year is here, and someone was bound to do it. What game do you think deserves the title "Game of the Year" out of all of the games of 2014. For me, 2014 was a VERY disappointing year in gaming...Simply atrocious...But, just like in any year, a few gems can be found. My picks for game of the year go to any of the following...

The Evil Within - For it's attempt at reviving Survival Horror in a manner we haven't seen since the PS2/XBox/Gamecube ear.

Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby - They took a game that came out in 2002, and remade it from the ground up. But they remade it with just enough new material to make it feel like a whole new game, but keeping it largely the same to keep that feel of nostalgia that we all love so much.

Super Smash Bros Wii U - While it's no story or even gameplay based game, this is the end all be all party game of the year. Some of the most fun I've had all year is sitting around the TV with a few beers and a few friends and talking trash, and committing smash! Seeing Nintendo make the jump to HD was a VERY welcome addition, as well as the new board game mode, and the ever impressive 8 fighter battles!

The Evil Within was really amazing.. Though the whole time I was fangirling over Joseph... When there were fights and he was my partner, I sacrificed myself a few times... xD

Has to be Dark Souls II for me. The co-op and pvp really add a lot of replay value to it, not to mention the dlc they released which was pretty damn awesome.

Have to mention Alien Isolation too. Great survival horror and it turned out to be a better game overall than I thought it was gonna be.

It was okay. I think it was because after playing The Last of Us, I found Evil Within to be fairly similar but just not as good.

My game of the year would have to be Dragon Age Inquisition, I've already pumped over 90 hours into that game and still haven't beat it, there's just soooo much to do. All the party members are unique and awesome....except for Viviann....she's a c#nt. The story is awesome, the visuals are phenomenal and the music, oh good lord the music, I've spent many a hours just standing in the Tavern listening to the Bard play her songs.

Other than that I would probably say Shovel Knight, I beat it in a day because I just couldn't put it down, it was such a fun ride and the responsive controls let you know if you die it's your fault and not the games and again the music is so good!
