Don't know if a similar thread exist, but I'm getting a little tired of searching, so here we go. Pretty self explanatory, what are some of your favorite tunes in gaming? I'll start us off with...

These are only a few of my faves.

My list of favourite tunes wouldn't be complete without some...

GUILTY GEAR!!!

I could list a million. Here are a few of my favorites.

Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES) - Stickerbrush Symphony

Duck Tales (NES) - Moon Theme

Mega Man 2 (NES) - Wood Man Stage

DinoCity (SNES) - Battle Theme

Clock Tower (SNES) - Don't Cry Jennifer

A few more since it won't let me post more than 5 per. :P

Resident Evil (PS1/GC)- Moonlight Sonata

Clocktower 2 (PS1) - Shiver Lunatic

Castlevania 3 (NES) - Opening Theme

Kingdom Hearts 2 (PS2) - One Winged Angel (Sephiroth's Theme)

Super Mario Sunshine (GC) - Secret Course Theme

And in celebration of the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD.

Damn that is so soothing. I remember I put my niece to sleep with this... and then I fell asleep shortly after.

Also loved this version of The Great Sea, it's more dark and atmospheric.

I think this was the first game I ever played and I still love all the music in it. :)
I could post so many tunes from this game. :P

Kingdom hearts, legend of zelda (ocarina of time, majora's mask, windwaker, ALTP), darksiders II, mass effect 3, crysis, mirrors edge, the list goes on lol :D

Love Gerudo Valley, and the Mario Main Theme always makes me think of the Bomb-omb Battlefield level! (I think it was called that?) Such good music. :)

I have a single favorite song in video games, and that song is the dungeon theme from Heaven in Persona 4. It captures everything about Heaven perfectly. It has a sort of melancholic mood applied to it, and its also the only dungeon theme that has lyrics in Persona 4. I can't properly describe it without spoiling a late-game event, so I'm just gonna stop now, but I will say it completely changes the development of a character.

I don't really consider myself a "gamer" these days, so I'm looking at this through a narrow scope I suppose. I've definitely got nostalgia for all the old Mario, Sonic, and Streetfighter games. And DOOM, definitely DOOM.

These days, though, I suppose the best original soundtrack made for a game was RE2's. Everything about that score I just absolutely adore.

But, if this counts, then this is my favorite. I wasn't going to include it because it's just a bunch of old songs thrown together for the "radio" in the game that you can toggle on or off, but it fits the games setting and atmosphere perfectly. And I'm a sucker for all these old tunes. Rant over, Fallout 3 Galaxy News Radio rules:

Being the Halo fan I am, I have to show my appreciation for Halo 4. When I heard 343 was taking over, one of my main concerns was whether of not they'd use the Halo theme used throughout the trilogy. I was disappointed to learn they weren't but to my delight, Halo 4 didn't really need it. 343 really delivered on the soundtrack with such amazing scores. Unlike anything heard in the series before, yet it feels right. Anyway, here are some of my personal favorite soundtracks from Halo 4.
