Revelations 2 Episode 1 discussion (Spoilers)

Revelations 2 is almost here!

So hopefully we can keep spoilers to a minimum on the forum for those that want to wait for the full/physical release and discuss the episode in here.

If you know any real spoilers for future episodes and want to discuss e.g what you think will happen in the next episode please use spoiler tags (Some of us want to be surprised).
 
So the question I have for the rest of you that have played it is...
...do you think Moira is dead? Personally, I don't believe she is, but I won't totally write off the possibility either. I think Capcom will lead us to believe she is dead for as long as they can though.

what if she's infected and she's the really scratchy voice barry can hear talking to her "so you finally came"

That thought crossed my mind, actually! I suppose it's probably too early for me to form a concrete opinion on the matter. I think with next week's episode, we'll probably get more into of the meat of the story, then I'll feel more comfortable making more concrete theories.
 
That was great! In my opinion, that two hours was better than the whole of RE6 XD
It's so good to get to play as Claire again and finally get to play as Barry! Loved all the little references throughout the episode.

I loved the references too. "I was almost a Claire sandwich." "Does Barry tell everyone that story?"
 
great first part, that two hours was the most fun iv had in a resident evil game in a few years ( not counting the hd remaster of course) . Had me smiling at the little refrences ;) Barry even makes a refrence to RE5 which i wasnt expecting. claire and moiras part was enjoyable but overall i enjoyed barrys part the most, the little girl natalia actually works quite well, i thought she was gunna be another ashley but she is actually quite crucial if you want to survive, its more of a joel and ellie partnership. il leave it at that for people who havent played yet. Cant wait for part 2

Nah.

It's a 6 month difference so one would think that if they got off the island Berry would know about it but I'm sure the plot doesn't really need to make sense to try to pull it off. If I could I'd bet real money she lives and the explanations gonna be pretty damn out there.


Edit: By the way, does anyone know what the reason for the physical version to be $40? It's $25 for all the episodes so why the extra 15?

Usually discs are more expensive, probably because you get the actual disc, case, and you get all the DLC.
 
The only extra content you get for buying the full version, compared to the complete season, is Rape Mode character Wesker and an outfit pack containing extra outfits for the four main characters (one for each). That's the reason I decided against the full version, figuring that if I bought the complete season and purchase Wesker and the outfits separately, it would be cheaper. Turns out I was wrong: Every single one of those outfits costs 2,99 in the Steam shop, and Wesker costs 2,49, so:

2,99 * 4 + 2,49 = 14,45.

So yeah... In Capcom's opinion, those five skins are worth so much that they actually make the full version containing them 15€/$/£ more expensive. In my opinion they're crazy, I'm not paying 3€ for one outfit, so I'll wait until they're on sale.

Edit: Wait... I just remembered that the Throwback Map pack is also only included in the complete season if you pre-ordered it, whereas it is always included in the full version. Still doesn't justify the difference in price if you ask me.
