Classification of Resident Evil games on this Web-site

I wonder why the following Resident Evil instalments are classified as 'Spin-Offs' on this Web-site?

Resident Evil: Outbreak
Resident Evil: Outbreak – File #2
Resident Evil: Survivor
Resident Evil: Survivor 2 – Code: Veronica
Resident Evil: Dead Aim

Here are the reasons why I think the fora for these five instalments should be placed in the 'Canonical' section:

Resident Evil: Outbreak and Resident Evil: Outbreak – File #2 collectively tell one single story and the story take place simultaneously as those of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (the story lines of these four instalments overlap); also, they do not contradict with any other instalments.

Resident Evil: Survivor take place right before Resident Evil – Code: Veronica and the events on Sheena Island are mentioned in the prologue in Resident Evil Zero.

Resident Evil: Survivor 2 – Code: Veronica is a nightmare of Claire's after her ordeal in Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, so I don't think the events in this instalment contradicts with the whole story; but I do believe that the appearance of Nemesis is a non-canonical element, as Claire has never met it when she was in Raccoon.

The events in Resident Evil: Dead Aim, based on what I've learnt from other on-line sources, lead to Resident Evil 4.

These five instalments are not part of the 'main story', but I don't think they can be considered as 'spin-offs', as being a 'spin-off' means being non-canonical.

Okay, but I still don't think we should exclude those five instalments from the 'Canonical' section and lump them together with non-canonical games like Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D: not being parts of the 'main story' doesn't make them non-canonical. The way the different instalments are labelled needs to be changed: perhaps we can move the fora for those five instalments to the 'Canonical' section and re-name the 'Spin-Offs' section 'Non-canonical'?

Even though this forum site is better organized than Capcom Unity's Resident Evil forums, I'll have to agree with dtyt2009 on having the two sections of this forum being updated.

I'll preface in saying I don't mean to be rude - but I find it a bit strange for someone who isn't an active member of a forum to be so insistent on seeing changes made to it.

As has already been stated, most spin-offs are entirely canonical; they merely focus on a smaller aspect of the story. And I imagine the games were organized as they were for practicality - you have the main series separated so people can easily find what they are looking for.
