All Female Ghostbusters Reboot!?

You read it here, and you may have heard it through various other sources, but an all female Ghostbusters reboot IS In fact happening. What are your thoughts, opinions, and feelings on this...

As for me. I'm not a fan of this idea. Not because I have anything against women taking a mans place, or any stupid sexist reason that you may come up with, but because movies as a whole are very different than they were in the 80's. If they do it with all women, they will probably try to make it either a sleazy comedy, or something too sexy. Either lots of boobs, or lots of vagina jokes, or both. And that's just not what Ghostbusters was about. Comedy is just too different today, and hey, if it DOES work, I would love it. Don't get me wrong. I would be happy to eat my words. But Bill Murray himself suggested Kristen Wigg and Melisa McCarthy as cast members...No. Wigg is very talented, but does NOT fit the role of a Ghostbuster. McCarthy, on the other hand, is a talentless hack, who is only in movies to give bigger women a character to relate to...

I've heard about it, but haven't read much more. Don't discount the style of 80s humor, since the original Ghostbusters did contain a ghost blowjob. But, of course, you are right that humor these days is a bit more crass and crude. So, lets see how this plays out.

It sounds interesting. I think there is a lot of ways they could play around with the movie, but I think the original movie would still end up being better anyway, just because I like movies from 70s-80s a lot more than I do with modern movies.
