I think it's only a small % of people attacking Gao but unfortunately these people are the loud minority. Personally, I was underwhelmed with everything about RE4R, including Gao, but I was willing to let it pass under the bridge and see where they take the series next. It will all blow over I'm sure.

I did like Mercenaries though. Not quite as good as Rev 2 Raid Mode but I did get some good fun out of it.

I agree, Raid Mode is better than RE4R mercenaries but I think RE4R all in all kinda exceeded my expectations
