So why was I awarded with the need of an egg? I didn't pass any milestone that I can see so it came out of the blue. But an egg is always welcome.

'I need an Egg' is a quote from RE5, a silly remark made by Chris Redfield that always tickled me, and one which I thought would make for a great Trophy title. Kicking all of those spambots' butts should also be worthy of a Trophy - I'll look into that!

I see. I haven't played RE5 so I wouldn't know. But what triggered the "egg" award? I had not made/received an even number of posts/likes when I got it.
