Been playing FF IX on ps4. Had never played before but I'm enjoying it so far. Really like all the characters and locations, good story too. I much prefer the turn based combat system. And as always with every FF game, the soundtrack is awesome :D

I'm attempting to make it through OG Resident Evil 4 for GameCube on Professional Mode.
It defeated me once before, but I'm confident I can do it this time.

It ought to be a good challenge, the A.I. on enemies was always toned down on the subsequent ports.

Nevermore
I just bought Dragon Ball Fusions and Final Fantasy XV. I started Fusions tonight and I plan on starting FFXV tomorrow after work. So those two will keep me occupied for awhile.

I'm playing Resonance Of Fate lately and man, it's so hard but in a good way (there are a lot of strong enemies, but it doesn't matter if they have like 30+ level more than you, if you choose the right tools and plan every move carefully you can take them down).

Amnesia The Dark Decent. Suprisingly, I've never played all the way through. Figured I would finally play it since the Amnesia collection is free for PS+ members right now.

I've not played any major games in many months, besides RE7. I did play Silent Hill 3 again a few months ago. Oh, how I long for another good Silent Hill game like the good old days (1996-2004). Downpour and Homecoming just didn't do it for me. Konami, please sort yourselves out if you can. Come on! You can do it.

I'll be playing The Evil Within 2 next week. Don't forget about WWE 2K18 either, if you like wrestling. The 2K WWE games however, are kind of crappy compared to the old ones by THQ or Acclaim. The graphics are fine. The roster is huge. But what about the controls? They always suck. You can hardly reverse or counter any holds. Female Superstars are still referred to as, "making his way to the ring" and stuff like "and introducing his tag team partner" which is just so dumb.

I've had a slight obsession with SCP, recently. Been playing SCP: Containment Breach, and reading SCPs on the website. I just love how immersive the game is, you really feel like you're a desperate D-Class trying to escape. Really great game.

Oh yeah, and the sound design is brilliant. It makes the game all the more unnerving when you hear distant muffled screams and other chaotic occurrences happening around the facility. The radio feature is also pretty clever. It's interesting to hear chatter between MTF units around the facility and eavesdrop on what they're up to.

I've been obsessed with SCP:CB for a long time. Only thing is I grew up on consoles so I'm really bad at computer games :( I try to play and I do alright but mostly I just watch youtubers play (Itzotom and Battleforge Games are the main ones I watch) since they're pretty decent at it and their commentary is generally entertaining, especially Battleforge lol. So I will go through and read a bunch of the SCP documents on the website and wish I was good at the game :3

Finally started playing Uncharted Lost Legacy... I regret not playing this game sooner. It is a much needed follow up to both Chloe and Nadine. Lots of 'girl talk' which makes this game all the more enjoyable as they develop these two strong female characters. These games always make me want to travel and explore even more.

Couldn't agree more. I adored this game. Let me know what you think when you finish it. :)

Anyone here heard of F.E.A.R.? Been playing that recently. I don't have the first or third one, but I have the second one, and that one's pretty good. Hoping I can get the first one on my PC at some point.

I actually have all three F.E.A.R. games, I really ought to finish them.

Finished it and loved it! Really like that it doesn't take itself too seriously, like the part where Chloe and Nadine go to give each other a high-five and miss. It's good fun and good story telling.

Finally got around to The Evil Within. I'm on chapter 7 and it's been really good so far. A lot better than recent Resident Evil games but still not quite a return to true survival horror. It honestly feels like a mixture of Resident Evil 4 and Revelations 2, which is a very great combination, but a lot more tense and with a much better atmosphere. Enemy a.i. is a lot better here as well, since the enemies don't just charge and make long stops for me to shoot them. They're a lot more intimidating, especially in larger numbers.

Ammo isn't necessarily scarce either, but the game limits how much you can hold, which is a whole lot less than the stacks of ammo I usually end up with in modern RE games. There's also no cheap exploit like the knife and melee kill. Though, so far, there hasn't been an encounter that I haven't been able to comfortably overcome with the supplies I have. That's not to say that I feel overpowered, but that there's plenty of opportunity to conserve ammo by playing smart, which keeps the gameplay tense but also rewarding.

However, it's also very linear just like Resident Evil 4 and the whole checkpoint thing kind of kills the idea of fearing death. I'm also not the biggest fan of the upgrading system in survival horror games. I may not be a tank now, but after all the upgrades, I'm sure the game will turn into a cake walk. I mean, it's fine to increase the amount of stuff you can carry, but making yourself stronger just kills the idea of you being weaker and afraid of these monsters. While it's a shame The Evil Within didn't go full on survival horror, I think it's gotten pretty close. I still love the look, mechanics, and atmosphere of the game, and it's just as fun as any modern Resident Evil game.

I've gone back and started playing Elder Scrolls Online again. I'm currently playing a Warden healer trying to max it out. Fortunately I'm pretty sure starting the 20th, they have a double EXP event which I will need to participate in :3.

I've decided to jump in on the Shinji bandwagon and picked up The Evil Within 2, loving it so far, though I'm curious to those who got the game:

anyone else get the heebee jeebies at the multi-headed woman at the beginning of the game?

A lot of that game had me on edge, haha. Hope you keep on enjoying it. I know I definitely did.

Busted out the ol' PS2 today- which amazingly still works and has long outlived my first PS3- and started to replay Silent Hill 4: The Room. I've been wanting to revisit this game for a while now and still love it to this day. I still say it is my favorite from the series despite its faults. There is a lot of repetitive gameplay with this game in particular but, to me, it has always been one of the eeriest games in the series with its imagery and concepts.
