Revelations 1 Raymond: Anti-Hero or Anti-Villain?

Venomous Oddball

Also Known as Maddy
As the title says, do you think Raymond is an anti-hero or anti-villain?

This is something I've been asking myself since I first played the game. He's a really complicated character. I've seen a lot of people call him an anti-hero, but is he really? He does work with O'Brian and the BSAA and he and Parker risk their lives for each other, but he also works for Tricell with Jessica and even gives her a sample of the virus, implying that his work with the BSAA was probably an act, so I think he's more of an anti-villain.
Thoughts?

At the end of the day he made out he was doing it to reveal the truth and get justice, but then proceeds to give the virus to Jessica / tricell.

So this pretty much undermines what he says he was doing it for...

I considor him a dangerous badguy since the heat has been put on Jessica whilst he is in the clear.

So I say Anti-villain, as his methods and the way you seem him was probably only this way because he has history with the other characters in this story.

It's really hard to say at this point. It's even more confusing because at the end of the game it makes it look like Jessica and Raymond were working together, but in Jessica's report/interview with Excella they both claim that neither of them know who Raymond is and that he's an outsider. This would suggest that he started working with Jessica during the events of Revelations, but why? He's seeming more like a male equivalent to Ada than anything. Hell, maybe they even know each other but that's stretching it. I've had some theories regarding him in the past but I don't think his age works out though.

All I can think of when I see that guy is that I think he got hit in the face with a shovel, repeatedly, to look like that.

Played through Revelations again last night and I'm not sure, even now, after having been playing through the game for a umpteenth time maybe he's like Ada Wong, with his own motives. Or, like Axel Foley would say, he's deep.. Deep.. Deep undercover and still one of the good guys.
