3 years...

Hello everyone, I've been here for the past 3 years and I gotta say this is the nicest community we have here, I am so glad I decide to become a part of it...I met really nice people on here, enjoyed every thread we have here, It's just been so fast. Time really flies I remember 3 years ago when I created account, like it was yesterday.

This is for me a piece of corner when I need to escape from awful reality I face with, I am just so glad to be here.

This IS my favorite game Resident Evil and this is my FAVORITE COMMUNITY.

As much as I know you, still I don't know entire forum yet, but I love you all

I just can't believe it's been 3 years already.

One thing I've picked up on is that the members here are a lot more civil than they tend to be on other Resident Evil message boards.

I once visited this site way before I joined and saw it was pretty dead, so I didn't join (what a mistake that was). So I joined up with another Resident Evil forum and well, they banned me because everyone there was a stupid fanboy prick. There were mods who thought they were hot sh*t because they had a Playstation 3 and other idiots who couldn't accept Operation Raccoon City wasn't canon. There was even a person who tried to make fun of me because I liked The Lion King because "it's a kid's movie." It was a very aggravating place to be and I was ultimately banned because the mods couldn't handle the truth about their precious "master race" PS3. Granted, I've had my problems on this site before, but a few jackass members won't spoil this otherwise great community for me.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've had problems in the past with fanboys myself. I used to get flamed and bullied so much that I almost quit playing the Resident Evil games entirely even though it's been my favorite game series since I was a kid.

One thing I've learned as I've gotten older is not to let certain people get to me because once I do they win. If a forum is filled with raving lunatic fanboys who like to flame and troll than it's best to just find a different forum.

And believe me I know that Resident Evil fanboys are some of the worst when it comes to flaming and trolling.

With my own 5th anniversary approaching, I can only agree with everything that has been said here. What actually made me join this forum was a thread about the RE characters' sexuality... Sounds weird? Maybe, especially since that is not really my favourite topic in general, but I thought: If you can discuss something like that so openly here, and even call certain characters gay without the entire community ganging up on you with axes and pitchforks, then it must be really open-minded. If I remember correctly, it was even the very first thread I posted in.

Of course, sooner or later the party poopers would arrive saying: "This is pointless... They aren't real, so they don't have a sexuality... You're stupid for even discussing this... (PS: I'm a bored little troll, so I'll just annoy everyone in this thread even though I have nothing relevant to contribute...) Yada yada yada", but every community has members you don't like as much as others, be it a forum, a workplace, a club or whatever. And I think the trolls here are a very rare (although sometimes very vocal) minority. It certainly speaks for itself that this place never turns into a landfill of spam and insults even though you rarely see a mod or admin online.

I like how here we can have disagreements without getting too mad and still liking and respecting each other. I have awful social anxiety, even online, but it's so much easier to talk to people here than anywhere else.

And the most of all, there is actual activity.

I agree with everything everyone has said above. This was the first forum I've ever joined, and having seen how people behave on other forums I was too nervous to even make an introduction thread because I didn't want to draw attention to myself as the new member.

I regret that because I soon realised how great everyone here is. Sure, we get the odd heated debate or troll but those are few and far between. I'm glad to see so many people agree that this is a great community to be a part of. Hats off to @Steve Powell for creating a place like this and to all the staff who monitor it.

Yeah i agree this is a really nice community. and i am proud to be a member of it.

Oh man, I realise I'm pretty late to the party, but... wow, the feels. I genuinely love you guys and I'm simultaneously thrilled and humbled that you guys have so much love for this place. Even if I'm not around nearly as much as I'd like, REO (have we made this an official acronym yet?) isn't going anywhere.

Thank you all for putting up with my WeskerXChris obsession and constant need to turn every post into said subject matter. I'm glad you guys came to terms with this.

I have to agree that this is one of the best and most friendly communities online, which is why so many members are permanent here
