Never got a chance to play it, so excited for it to come to PS4 as I want to add it to my collection.

Will you buy this again?

Never thought they'd do it but I'm glad they are. I'd love to play through this again and get more achievements for it. Also, it would make my collection look more complete as Revelations 2 is just floating off to the side of the main series by itself.

Though, this has me thinking that we can expect Revelations 3 sometime early 2018.

Hmm, I just might have to pick this up. I played the original on 3ds, typo and all, though passed on the ps3 port as it felt too fresh at the time, however tempting the incentive of sailor Chris and pals may have been. But I think it's been long enough that I'd be willing to give it another go. I wonder how much if anything they'll add to it.

Yesss, pleased with this. I got rid of my PS3 forever ago so I haven't been able to replay Revelations for years.

Far as I can remember the campaign was only single player? I hope they add a co-op mode.

I don't think co-op would work as the game wasn't really developed that way.

I'll be picking this up, I like to have as many RE titles on one console as possible. Very pleased to see this news and a little surprised it didn't happen sooner.

Hopefully Revelations 3 (and REmake 2) won't be far behind.

Eh, I might get it. I played it first on 3DS and than later I played it on PS3. I wasn't a huge fan of it, but it was a little fun. I prefer 2, though.

Was happy seeing this. More Resident Evil = more fun! I got every single physical release so far so this will be the 8th game for the current generation! Pumped!

Eh... sure il get it. Was a decent enough game, and it will be nice to get a physical copy on PS4 to go along with Revelations 2. As a few previous post's have said, this makes me think Revelations 3 will hit in 2018, considering that by the begining of next year Revelations 2 will be 3 years old (goddamn...) and there was a 3 year gap between 1 & 2.

Dammit! I JUST got Revelations 1 last month for PS3. -_-

Whatever. Guess I'm okay as long as they don't add anything new.

Looks like they pushed the date forward.
Unless that's a typo it's now an August release, not mid September.

Edit:
Resident Evil Revelations launches 29th August on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Late 2017 for Nintendo Switch
Now updated for current generation consoles, Resident Evil Revelations is the acclaimed survival horror title featuring series veterans Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they investigate the reportedly abandoned “Queen Zenobia” cruise ship. This new version features a smoother 1920x1080 resolution, an improved framerate, increased environmental detail and refined creature movement, defining this as the best-looking version of the game to date. All previously released downloadable content is also included in the game as unlockable rewards.

Take on hordes of enemies with a friend online in the returning Raid Mode, which includes “The Ghost Ship: Chaos,” a fresh take on the popular stage with more powerful weapons and ways for players to upgrade their arsenal, and remixed enemy placements for an added challenge. Additionally, four controller schemes based on control types from across the entire series are available in this version of the game for a more flexible experience to accommodate different playstyles.

Resident Evil Revelations launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 29th August. A Nintendo Switch release of both Resident Evil Revelations and its follow up Resident Evil Revelations 2, which features series favourites like Claire Redfield and Barry Burton as they face untold horror, will also be available in Late 2017

So happy & excited for a Switch version for both games. Will buy Rer1 on PS4 aswell though since i'm a collector and are a big fan of both Playstation and Nintendo. I am planing on playing a TON of Revelations 2 on the Switch though and focusing on rer1 for PS4.

Also very happy about re.net support hopefully it will be supported on the Switch aswell.

Revelation's 2 is a fantastic RE that deserves to be experienced by as many people as possible so im really happy about this. Revelations 1... eh it's solid in my opinion, still feel it partly got so much love because most fans only played it when it came out on consoles and it was the first RE released after RE6 and most people were just coming off of that game, but it's still pretty good. Never the less, some RE on the switch is great!

Well, it looks prettier but it plays the same.

I kinda don't like it... well, anymore than I like the game, as a re-release or definitive edition, if you will. There's nothing new about it and I was hoping they'd fix that extra unreliable and bull't dodge mechanic they have. I have a %30 success ratio with that thing and that is just not good enough.

I'm torn on getting the game right now on PS4 and getting to play as my waifu (Jill) in 1080p and 60 FPS or waiting a bit and having the luxury to play it on the go on the Switch, albeit at the cost of power.

Decisions, decisions.

Is it really at the cost of power? Have they said it's not gonna be 1080p and 60 frames? Because that would be really disappointing, especially since it's an old game. I don't see how the Switch couldn't match the other consoles with it.

It's an assumption based on the power (or lack of) of the console.
