I've been thinking about travel a lot lately and thought I'd make a thread about different places that people have been to. In this thread I invite you to share the places in the world that you love the most. Include a photo too, if you wish, and we can keep adding to it as we think of more places or travel to more places.

This isn't just limited to travelling to different countries, either; if there's something near where you live that you think is particularly pretty or interesting, then feel free to include it!

One of the most interesting places that I've ever been is the Palace of Versailles in France. The Palace itself is steeped in history and is very interesting to walk around, but the part I loved the most was the gardens. They went on forever and had paths that went through woodland to other outbuildings, they had lots of fountains and were very beautiful to walk around, especially in the sun.

I really wanted to visit Venice after playing the Tomb Raider II levels that are set there, but when I actually got there, I was quite disappointed because I didn't find it as pretty as in the game, and the smell of the canals can be quite... overwhelming sometimes, to say the least.

One place I'd love to visit someday is Canada. Jugding by the photos I see every day on Facebook (I'm following a page called "The World", if anyone is interested - very beautiful photos!), I've come to the conclusion that Canada must be the country with the most beautiful / visually stunning nature in the world.

Oh, and London's Buckingham Palace is tiny. Did you know that?

Wow that palace looks amazing @Jen.

I've done quite a bit of travelling over the years but one place that really stood out for me was The Giant's Causeway in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland. Just amazing natural rock formations everywhere.

There's another place not far from there called Carrick A Rede rope bridge. It's a bridge going out to a little island. There's a 90 ft drop to the sea, so if u don't like heights then I wouldn't suggest it :p

There's plenty of other places I'll post about later.

Great idea! I love travelling.

Took this picture a few years ago in Calgary.

So I spent 4 days over in the west of Ireland and seen some absolutely amazing scenery over there. Spent most of the time in Co. Galway & Co. Mayo. We'd go sight seeing during the day and then go back to the hotel for dinner and a few pints. I've never seen so many mountains and lakes in one area before :p

Took a ton of pictures which I've posted below. If anyone ever decides to visit Ireland I would definitely recommend going to Galway.

There's a lot of cherry blossom over here too, well in places. Shame it doesn't last very long.
