Resident Evil 7 Can't load save files since last update!

I'm playing on PS4. Whenever I try to load one of my save files I get an error that reads "Game data has not finished loading. Please wait until install has finished. Now returning to main menu." I can start a new game but whenever I try to load any of my saved games I get this error.

The game is completely installed and nothing is downloading or installing. Latest update is installed also. I haven't bought any DLC.

Has anyone else experienced this?

have you tried uninstalling the updates and re-installing them? sounds like a corrupt file to me

Start a new game and play up until you defeat someone and get welcomed to the family.
When I had this issue I did this and it booted me to the main menu because game data hadn't finished installing, but then straight away the ps4 said "finished installing" and my save would work again.

Also havw you downloaded any dlc?

Ok, I got it to work so I'm going to update this thread in case someone else has the same issue. I wound up doing something similar to what Spikeyroxas is suggesting but not exactly. I'll list the steps I took but I'm not sure if this would definitely work for someone else.

1. Uninstalled the game.
2. Disconnected from the internet and reinstalled the game preventing the update from installing.
3. Played a new game until I was "welcomed to the family". I wasn't booted to the menu at this point or anything. But I quit anyway and tried to load my old saves - no luck. I got a new error now that just said something like "save could not be loaded"! At this point I thought all hope was gone, there was nothing I could do and I went to bed.
4. Next day I reinstalled the update - 1.03, and tried my old saves and IT WORKED!

So that's what worked for me. I'm back to playing my old saves files and everything seems fine.
