Resident Evil 6 Expectations for E3

Ok so we are a few short weeks away from the biggest trade show of the year for gaming, E3, and we are hoping that Capcom will not only be there but will among the games it's doing promo work for will be Resident Evil 6.

So what are people expecting from Capcom at E3, and what information are you hoping they will release about this upcoming release.

I'm hoping there is going to be more information about multi player, not really someone that plays it a lot unless it's split screen but from what I played of RE5 online which I enjoyed a lot more than expecting, am thinking this is also going to have a really good multi player too so am interested to see what exactly is on offer.

You and me are on the same page. I also hope that online multiplayer is spoken about with more detail and maybe a sneak peek? Although the story trailers are refreshing, I would also like to see some gameplay and not the little two second sneak peeks we get in the trailers.

I'll just get right to the ass kicking!
I have no expectations from E3 lol all my anticipated games have been delayed to 2013 and the announcement of the game I want so badly will definitively not be announced this early.

As for Capcom, I expect some bull***t announcements about the abomination they call "DMC" and maybe some new screens or a new trailer about RE6 explaining that guy in the suit that we saw in the Captivate trailer or maybe a preview of the Demo we'll be getting.

As a DN fan be thankful you won't be waiting for those games like you did for that (what was it 13/14 years or something?) lol

more info on the characters hopefully, I find story lines to be very important in games. hopefully more info that will make the fans ask many questions on the blogs. I like to think

That's all on George Broussard, he ruined DNF for us and that mistake will be on his back forever, but now Duke's got a full development team, full funding and a CEO that owes his career to Duke so I'm thankful for that :)

Back on Topic lol: There's not a lot of big releases this year, so I think E3 will just be a pile of announcements. Maybe some more info on that Survival Horror Shinji Mikami is working on.

I have to disagree about there not being many big releases this year (unless you are only talking about Capcom), if you are talking in general then there are a few sequels that will do big numbers like Call Of Duty, Medal Of Honor, Assassins Creed, and of course Resident Evil plus Last Of Us (another game I'm kind of looking forward to).

I completely forgot about Last of us, that does look interesting, But I could care less about CoD, Assassins Creed and such, they dont interest me even a little. The 2 games I was eager for have been delayed to 2013 (Aliens Colonial Marines and Tomb Raider)
So far there is only 1 game and 1 DLC this year that I'm excited for, The Lollipop Chainsaw and the Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC.

The only things I'm hoping to hear from Capcom at E3 about RE6 is some info about the collectors edition (not that idiotically overpriced one with a cheap jacket and 70% of the game) and hopefully a preview of the demo.

I think the fact that they are going back to the old games (or at least the first two original games) and giving branching stories you can play in whatever order you like is a good sign, and that maybe after recent years and the most recent years they are finally (hopefully, although it is so unlikely) actually listening to the fans of Resident Evil by making the game more like the originals (even if it is more action and less horror, the rest is pretty much sounding like old school Resident Evil) and putting more into the story and characters they they maybe have in recent editions of the game.

thats what im hoping too dude. after playing ORC its really put me in a nostalgic state for the old RE games and its nice to see them going back and exploring the past, like you said.

I think I might be the only one wondering about Halo 4 and Borderlands 2.

I might expect some RE:6 details and lost planet 3 stuff from capcom :/

I'm thinking E3 is going to be big on Capcom this year...Not only is there RE6, but I bet we will hear something about the newer 3DS games that have been every so slightly talked about...Hell, we may even hear something about Damnation...

RE stuff aside, I'm looking forward to and dreading the new Shinji Mikami game, as well as more information on the WiiU, DmC, and (Even though I'm not a big Halo fan) Halo 4...Really, I'm dreaming of new Sonic stuff, especially Sonic Adventure 3...But that's a dream, and nothing more...

Sega are supposed to be releasing another Sonic racing game... I don't know why they aren't releasing any dlc for Sonic Generations. That games seems perfect for it. And there are also rumors about Dreamcast 2. That would be awesome.

Dreamcast 2? That can't be right...I mean...Sega is under Nintendo's control now...They won't be releasing anymore consoles...Dreamcast was the last one I thought...

If Nintendo and Sega collaborated on Wii U, it would have been great! Although, for a few years now, Sega hasn't been pumping out many memorable games, and to me, they look like a ghost of their past. But I'm not sure a 4th console would fit in the industry. It would become over-encumbered, and most likely, would not succeed against the likes of PS4 and X720. And let's be honest, Sega doesn't have that many big IPs they can use for first-party development, and third-party developers wouldn't dedicate themselves to a new console that might or might not perform well. X360's got a really pathetic lineup of exclusives, in my opinion, in terms of numbers and quality together. But it's proven that it can hold its own as a system through the years.

Anyway, I'm waiting for a new Okami for consoles, or even an HD re-release of the PS2/Wii game. It can fit perfectly to the Move controller, so it would also be a plus for Sony. Downside is that Clover has been disbanded, and what was left is now known as Platinum Games, who are working on Revengeance, so they must be really busy.

It also doesn't help that the reason that Sega got bought out by Nintendo is because the original Dreamcast kind of flopped...And really, because gaming has changed so much Sega would need to more or less hit the ground running...Idk...if it's done properly I think it could work...But it's unlikely...

Nintendo never bought Sega, where did you hear that? Sega is a third party company that develops and publishes on Nintendo more often because maybe they have a few deals. They release titles across all platforms. Nintendo owns no rights on Sega or the any of their IP's.

I've been wanting an Okami console sequel ever since it came out.
